This product tastes like caramelized sugar, and not like tea. That's not a bad taste, and works pretty well in the hot blended seasonal drink mix I make with this. Caramel isn't listed in the ingredients, but maltodextrin is, and that sounds like a carbohydrate that could caramelize. So I think some form of caramel is present in this mix to provide both color and bulk, and it alters the flavor so that tea is no longer the main taste. On the plus side: I like the packaging. The tall narrow glass jar can be repurposed for a bunch of things. It's in the freezer door now, full of bone broth.

Thanks for reaching out - High processing temperatures needed to produce our tea can impart some cooked notes but we can confirm there is no caramel in any form in the ingredients.

This is the worse tasting tea I ever had. It doesn't taste like tea at all. I wanted a sugar free tea so I can control the sugar, but this is just gross. I found a refrigerated unsweetened tea that taste great.
