Description
Acrylic Gesso from Liquitex is a white primer used as an absorbent ground for acrylics, oils and most types of paint. Gesso seals and protects a variety of surfaces, including cotton and linen canvas, paper and wood. This gesso dries within minutes to a brilliant, non-yellowing, non-cracking white layer. Acrylic gesso may be thinned with water if needed and can be mixed with acrylic colors to provide a toned ground. Two coats of gesso are recommended and may be sanded between coats to create a smooth surface texture.
