A: The veneer top is durable as long as you take care of it appropriately. It wipes up easily and I make sure to keep it dry, as it is a veneer. Overall I love this desk!

A: I purchased one last week and it has a very stong chemical smell to it. After a week no improvement. I will return it for sure. Smells awful!!

A: The desk body itself is pre-built, even the drawers. You only need to assemble the metal frame and place the desk on top. Took us 15 minutes start to finish and that includes cleaning up the packing materials. We used a drill instead of the allen key.

A: No. Once you place the receptacle end of the extension into the desk the plug end hangs out the bottom. There is no way to store it or put it back into the extension cubby.

A: It has a wood-grain texture to it, but seems like a paper veneer that wouldn't take paint well, especially since I've read here that some people put a drink on it and the condensation made it buckle. Get a coaster too.

A: I have this desk and love it! The drawers do not fully extend, however I'm very surprised by all that fit in them. I can stand a stapler and tape dispenser upright and shut the drawer just fine.
