Thank you for reaching out to Oster®. We are sorry to hear that you could not seat the jar base securely. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. For a possible fix: 1. Turn the jar upside down so the small opening is at the top. Then place the sealing ring over the jar opening. 2. Place the blade into the jar. 3. Place threaded jar nut or threaded jar skirt over the blade and jar (Note: If there are slots on top of the collar, line them up with notches on the jar.) Place the threaded jar nut or threaded jar skirt on the jar and turn it clockwise to tighten. 4. Place the jar assembly onto the base. 5. Line up the tabs of the jar with tabs on the blender base. Make sure the tab of the jar on the left side is in the back of the tab of the blender base and the tab of the jar on the right side is in front of the tab of the blender base. Make sure the jar is seated in position. Your Oster® Classic Series Blender has a 3-year limited warranty. Jars not locking in place are normally cause by incorrectly assembled parts. Don’t worry, I will be more than happy assist you today. Below are the steps we need to take to make sure the Jar assembly is correct and ready for blending: 1. Make sure the blender is unplugged and the components are clean. 2. Turn the jar upside down and make sure it’s on a solid work surface. 3. Place the blade into the threaded jar bottom, handling it very carefully as blades are sharp. 4. Place the sealing ring over the blade and carefully snap the sealing ring into the locking groove with your fingers or the back of a spoon, making sure that it is flat and not wrinkled. 5. Ensure that the sealing ring is fully and evenly tucked into place, and holding the blade assembly to the jar bottom. 6. Install the blade assembly onto the jar, turning to fully tighten. For optimal performance, place the desired ingredients in the blender jar according to the following order: liquids, fresh ingredients, frozen fruit, yogurt and ice cream. Also be sure to leave the frozen fruits/vegetables out to soften for a few minutes before adding to jar. Although the blender has an ice crushing blade, frozen fruits and vegetables are harder than ice and that is why we recommend letting them thaw slightly before adding.
