The food items were realistic enough for plastic. The Velcro attachments worked well. Not sure if the Velcro will hold up for years if it gets clogged, but it’s working now. My granddaughter loved cutting them in pieces and serving them to her daddy, animals and baby dolls. Great opportunity to teach halves. And she can help with dinner prep now! Peeling the banana is a little iffy for a younger child. The knife could be a hazard if you allow a child to run around with it in her hand. We had to take the knife away unless she was sitting. Would have liked a container to put the set away in, so small pieces don’t fall to the bottom of the toy box.

My 22 month old loved this so much! He played for hours and I'm not kidding this is one busy guy hit was very dedicated to this toy! I love that they are big enough so he won't put them in his mouth either
My 2 y.o son is obsessed w/this, even his big sister (almost 7 y.o) loves to play along too!

I love the different types of foods, and the little cutting Board, strainer & chopping knife. Although the knife is a little flimsy and bends easily when my 2 year old son uses it, he doesn’t seemed bothered by it as we have other wooden play-knives from other play-chop pretend cooking food sets and he seems to grab that knife instead of the blue one this package came with. Aside from that, the quality of Velcro is great. My son got this as a gift for his 2nd birthday this year and he literally gets it out every single day, every morning when he is awake to start his day: as if it’s a life-dependent routine for him LOL he REALLY enjoys this toy!! The egg & banana is a few of his favorite foods to play with in this set too! Even my almost 7 year old daughter likes to play with her little brother when he takes this toy out. Great for all ages really 😁 I also love that when my son sees me cook, he will also run to grab he play food to pretend cook along side me and it makes my heart happy 🥰 not only do I really like that this toy teaches role play/imaginative play, but the motor skills it helps the littler ones develop is a big plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my daughter and she loved it! The pieces of food are velcroed together and it comes with a knife to cut them in halves. When you cut them in half the velcro sound makes it more realistic and She had so much fun!

Love the concept. Kids enjoyed it. We didn't care for the banana peel, it was hard for 2yr old to put together. And wish the bowl was a bit bigger, to be able to carry all the pieces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy was a big hit with my neighbors 3 year old. I often watch him and he really has shown an interest in cooking and prepping food but obviously is too small to use any real tools. I let him play with this while I cooked and he had a blast being able to do some of the same things I was doing. I think this is a great addition to any kids kitchen sets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls love playing with this set. The fruit pieces are easy to cut with the play knife. They love playing kitchen together and pretending to cut us fruits and hand them out. It’s great quality, they attach and reattach perfectly together. The Velcro is great quality for them to easily cut thru. There are enough fruits and veggies for them to share. Would highly recommend this set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kid approved, my daughter loved cutting up the foods and serving them. She said she was practicing. If I could change anything it would be that you could cut them into a little smaller pieces maybe four instead of 2.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grand daughter played with this set for 2 hours straight! She loved using the plastic knife to “cut”the fruits and vegetables in half. There is an apple, carrot, onion, broccoli, orange, lettuce and pepper. There is a banana which has 3 peels that contain the banana inside. There is s as Leo an egg with the shell that comes apart to reveal the egg. Each food is separated by a piece of Velcro do that they attach easily and you pretend cut. There is a small strainer and tray to use also. The egg and the banana were a little difficult for my 3 year old to separate without help , but she loved cutting each food and putting it in the bowl. Once she cut everything, I put it back together and she started again. They were the right size for her small hands. I even thought the banana was a little difficult for me to put together. They had to be just right to fit the peels in. All in all it’s a great pretend toy for young children. She looks forward to playing with them each time she visits.
