However, you cannot run hot or warm water through the filter, as that will damage the filter. You can only run warm/hot water through the faucet mode of the unit, which bypasses the filter. When it is flashing yellow, it indicates that approximately 70% of the 100 gallon life expectancy. At this time, we do recommend having a new filter on hand. A: A.) Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for the unusual experience with our product. It sounds as though it did not reset correctly. Reinstalling the cartridge and closing the cover should reset this light. We would recommend trying to reinstall it a few more times, and it should reset to green. If this does not work, you can remove the filter inside of the unit and try manually resetting the lights. Inside of the unit, beneath where the filter normally goes, you will see a white box that sticks out with a button in the center of it. This button is the reset button for the lights. You can try holding the button down until you see the lights flash on the front of the unit. We hope this information is helpful.
