Q: Since the container lid is not sealed and has a small opening in it, will it attract bugs or ants if I store honey it it?

A: It absolutely does not prevent ants! I just threw out a whole jar full of honey this needs a rubber seal to keep creatures out of your honey. I do not recommend this product! The same thing happened to my sugar bowl that I bought!

Q: Can you actually store honey in this? Not just when being used?

A: Officially honey should be in a sealed container; this does not seal so honey stored in here will not have the longevity of honey stored in sealed containers.

No seal - I don't want bugs or dirt going into my honey. Nicely made container otherwise. I purchased the coffee one and it has a sealed lid and place for scoop to go on the side. This doesn't.

I had an ant inside of this thing within hours. It’s really cute, and I’m still using it, but had to put plastic wrap under the lid to seal it and keep the honey fresh and bug-free. If you aren’t using it for its actual purpose and as more of a decorative piece, it’s nice.
