    Quality is the same you'd always expect from lego, hard plastic and obviously durable. I am pleased with the variety of pieces and colours in this set. I love that they did away with the "boy" and "girl" boxes, the variety in colours and pieces is quite nice! I purchased the equivalent "boy" box two years ago and the variety was disappointing. My only complaint would be that there seems to be a lot of the round 2x2 pieces that I, personally, don't seem to find a use for. Plenty of room in the box to grow, I added two supplement boxes to it with some room left. see less

    Made an old hand fall in love with Lego again

    I have 2 young twin daugh ... see more

    I have 2 young twin daughters (aged 4 and a bit) and so have been enjoying helping them build their Lego Friends and Lego Disney Princess models, having loved playing with Lego as a child myself. So, having seen the new Minecraft models and having been known to dabble with the Minecraft game, I had a moment of pure selfishness and bought The Crafting Box, The First Night and The Farm, which blew me away. So, I ordered The Cave and The Mine, which I am waiting for. Singly, the sets are lovely and, although not a direct representation of in-game assets, these Lego sets provide a very pleasant representation of Minecraft. Where they especially shine is when you combine one or more sets together and the rebuild possibilities become immense. Unlike most modern Lego sets, most pieces are fairly standard blocks, which is unsurprising, given the theme, but it is the characters and those few (relatively speaking) custom parts that bring the sets to life. Of all the sets, I think that The First Night has possibly the least custom rebuild potential than the others, given the subject matter, but it is a lovely set nonetheless. Highly recommended. see less

Of course we had to take it apart and rebuild to see how it looked. My grandson decided that he needed First Night built both ways so we ordered another set. see less

    I purchased this LEGO set at Target for just $20.00. I love how on the box the Zombie is in the dark back of the cave standing there waiting for Steve to just walk right in to his little trap so he has him right where he wants him. And I really enjoyed building the Spider, it didn't take too long to make him, it was worth the time and the money I spent on it. This was the first LEGO set I've ever purchased in a while. I'm really glad LEGO Minecraft redid their models because the old ones don't look as good as they do now. Thanks LEGO Minecraft. see less

    This set is incredible!!! It is finally a battlepack with all of the same figures. What is even more awesome is that it is with stormtroopers! Though I would have preferred an episode 4-6 stormtrooper battlepack, I do understand to go with a Rebels version of the stormtroopers, as Disney wants to advertise the series with toys. As for the Imperial Troop Transport, it isn't exactly to scale, but it's a battlepack, so the vehicle has to be sized down in order to maintain a cheap price. The only downside to this great set is that we still have those stupid blasters from last year's battlepacks. Overall, great battlepack to build your Imperial armies! see less

    This is definitely a bit more challenging, so not the best choice for younger kids. My 4 year old was able to hold focus for a little while, but even my 6 year old lost interest before we were anywhere near complete. I'd probably recommend for an 8-12 year old, maybe older if they are a big Minecraft and Lego fan. There are dozens of builds you can make from this single set (with instructions), and the modular design allows for practically countless re-configurations with minimal effort and tear-down. see less

Finished, it appears pretty flimsy, but my 5 yo son has yet to destroy it, even when left out for his 2 yo brother to grab. I ws surprised how secure that tail and rotors are. Has survived many drops without breaking into lots of pieces, but one step on the tail, if left on the floor, and it'll be toast. see less

    I have already purchased two of these sets. I love this set because of the adorable new cat! I am so glad Lego included a cat in this vet set (the old vet set did not). The inclusion of the cat is the reason I chose to buy it. I combined two of these sets together and modified them to make a larger area for the animals. Then I added the various cats from the other Friends sets. I also used the small green "flower stem" pieces to make a scratching post similar to the previous Friends set, Cat's Playground, and I added a couple of pet bowls from previous sets. I highly recommend this one. see less

    I was incredibly impressed when the first images of the LEGO Minecraft sets surfaced. And when I saw 'The mine', it was automatically on my Christmas list. The build: 'The mine' includes six (6) bags, Steve, zombie, creeper, skeleton, and spider. This set includes six (6) modular sections, which can be rearranged and swapped out. The bottom sections have rails, the middle parts are connected by a bridge, and while the left side has a hallway with cobweb and a waterfall, the right has a hallway, a latter and the start of the rail system. Finally, the top two layers are also connected by a bridge. The left side has ore and TNT. The right side has a latter, and a chest with bread. The top surfaces also have a ground level, each with a tree. The minifigures: 'The mine' includes three minifigures, if you don't count the brick built spider and creeper. All figures look great, and the printing replicates the real deal. The spider has eight (8) legs, and each is articulated. Steve, the zombie and skeleton have the same head, a new mold, and as of now, exclusive to the Minecraft line. The creeper isn't poseable, albeit the head does move. The skeleton can be placed on the spider, forming a spider jokey. Over all, this set is a breath-taker! see less
