We love these because they stack well, they seal well, and they are clear for easy identification. One bad thing - the smaller canisters in this set are too small to be useful for most things. I would recommend getting a bunch of the big canisters individually rather than getting this set.

These containers are perfect for any type of storing...the "pop" lids make them easy to use without worrying about them being tight enough and able to remove later on. The only problem with these is the washing... to TRULY wash the lid, there are several parts that need to be removed. If you can deal with the hassle, you'll love this product! I do:)

I've had this set for well over a year five people live in the home and with regular usage we havenot had a moments problem and actually I perfer the square bottoms they fit very nicely in my sliding pantry door. I am soooo excited like I said I've had mine for over a year I'm sure I caught a [good deal] but no where near the deal I got last night [...]. I bought them all. One for my daughter one for my sister will hold on to the others for housewarming gifts, kitchen shower gifts etc. [...] E verything stays as fresh as the day I put it in them pop mechanism works as the same as the first day I bought them. I would say buy them and check them out for yourself.

very nice.

love these. We get the occassional six legged friend here in Houston and these are great bc I know they are a fortress of air tightness that cannot be penetrated by even the most enterprising crunchy brown rascal. You know what I'm saying....

I do not mind the square shape and I have not seen them anywhere else in my town so I would only be able to buy these from Target. So the shape being different elsewhere does not bother me.I have also had no problem with the lids. They are airtight and my toddler can not pull the top off. I haven't tried but I have dumped it upside down with rice and pasta and it did not spill. I did have one that got a crack in it and the lid would not stay on but it was because the container was no longer air tight with air coming in through the crack.I love these and would recomend these to everyone. It helps out a lot and they look nice enough to leave out on your counter if you want. I have some on the counter with tea bags and colorful pasta and I have the sugar and flour in the cabinet. They are the best way to save space, keep the food, and look pretty all at once!

Target version different than POP containers elsewhere

I'm not sure why Target sells its own bizarro version of these containers. Unlike the version sold at every other store (including OXO's website), these are different sizes (as they are not belled), have square buttons rather than round buttons, and the plastic is generally thinner at all points of the container. As such, the lids are not interchangeable with OXO POP containers purchased at other stores.I have no idea whether this is an inferior product (although the thinner plastic seems to su ggest that it may be), but I feel compelled to give this three stars because nowhere on the product does it specify that this styling is unique to Target. I had a feeling that something was "off" about them when I purchased them, but assumed this was OXO's new design and that it would be impossible to find new pieces to match my existing set. Not so. I was merely fooled by Target, and now must trek back to the store to return my purchases and skip over to another store to get some of the "classic," thicker designed pieces. The price is the same as the others, so I'm not sure what's up with the thinner plastic.

I thought these would be really nice. I liked the skinny shape. But I thought I could use them for pasta, dried beans, and such. The locking mechanism on this style and the clear acrylic lock handles work the same. Once you lock the lid on it should stay in place. My 8 year old daughter pulled the lid out after it was locked. It slid right out. I returned them. The lids will wear out very easy if my daughter can slid them out after they are locked.
