We first bought these as just a temporary rod until we figured out a more expensive one to buy... we loved them so much, we went out and bought them for our master and our kid's rooms!! They look very nice, they are easy to use and they are stay nice and tight. I really like the fact that it sit inside the windowsill for a clean look! Plus, you can't beat the price... [$] each!!!

1.) Take it out of the plastic. 2.) To adjust the length, twist and pull the rod outward OR inward at the same time.3.) Place in your window, and adjust as needed.Let me tell you, I'm not a "handy" person at all and thought that I would be struggling with this rod, especially since there are no instructions. But I guess you can say that I used some of my common sense and decided not to act helpless, and I did it! lol I live in an apartment, so I didn't want to put any holes in the wal l or anything. And not that it's a big deal, but I like that this rod is a nickle color. Great price too!

No tools needed. They were a tight fit and can be adjusted. Much easier than mounting hardware. I bought two for master bedroom windows to test. I'm going to put them throughout the house.
