I think it's safe to saythat this product is AWSOME it's not like your normal shampoo but of course it's not...it's completely natural and organic. it's filled with oils and butter that makes the hair so so so SOFT and must i say, it leaves your hair clean without the sqeaky clean stripped feeling. This is a must have and the fabulous thing is, a small amount goes a LONNNNG way. I place a quater amount into each section of my hair and sometimes that's too much. It's super moist and sudsy and s mells great. I recommend this product over and over to anyone!

Not sure if my hair retained moisture, but it was definitely extremely tangled each time I tried to use it. LUCKILY, their Shea Moisture's Deep Conditioning Hair Masque with Shea Butter could always snap my hair right back. I wanted to believe the shampoo was great because of the natural ingredients and because the Shea Moisture's Deep Conditioning Hair Masque is so great, but I gave it 3 tries and each time, just a sudsy tangled mess.

This product is horrible. It dries the hair, creates brittleness leading to split ends and hair breakage. It's name is opposite of it's results. I have 3C hair.

My natural 4b hair is very picky! It is very coarse and thin and is in constant need of moisture and careful handling. Every sulfate free shampoo I have ever tried still left my hair completely stripped of oils. I was shocked at the thick consistency of the shampoo and was sure that it couldn't do all of the things advertised. I was so wrong! Every sulfate free shampoo that I have tried in the past has left my hair completely stripped of all moisture which meant that my deep condit ioning was mainly just trying to repair the damage done by the cleansing process. This shampoo has left my hair unbelievably soft with a surprising amount of curl definition because no moisture was stripped away from my hair. I have never experienced this amount of softness with any other shampoo before. This one is definitely a keeper!

I purchased the shampoo, conditioner, and elixir over the weekend and I am in love. My hair feels clean and soft. The fragrance on this is amazing and it lasts a while. Unlike some of the other reviews, I did not find the elixir too heavy. It was just right for my thick head of hair. Also, I have seen very little to no breakage since I used these products. I will definitely be switching my hair treatment regimen to this set.

I am a white woman, 40, with fine, dry, curly red hair. I was hoping for a heavy-duty moisturizing shampoo with the benefits of shea butter, especially for these dry, Midwest winter months. This isn't it. I've tried adding some olive oil to the mix to see if it will pump-up the moisture but no improvement yet. This is just a basic shampoo for normal to oily hair.

I just bought both the shampoo and conditioner, for [$] u can give it a try. And my hair is soooooooooooooooo full of body and bounce.I have thick chemically and semi color in my hair and since Nov 2011 i've only use organic shampoos like wen which is GOOD to but a bit pricey but worth it. Anyways when I got from under the dryer and unwrapped my hair I could tell that the moisture was locked into my hair I just cannot stop tossing my hair from side to side and it smells GREAT. This is a MUST HAVE to add to my organic collection.

This shampoo smells great but it does not work well at all. My daughters hair was very dry and brittle after each use.

I'm soooooo enjoying this! A good friend recommended this line and I decided to finally try it last night. WOW! This poo is SOOOOO rich and thick! And it lathers soooo well! A little really goes far - I learned the hard way :( It didn't take nearly as much as I used. I guess I'm used to using sulfate poos that supposedly lather so well and easily. ANYWAY! My hair (4a natural) is super soft today and so curly!!! Curls sprung up everywhere!! Admittedly, my hair curls up pretty easily - if I put a loe vera gel in my hair it looks like I have a texturizer - BUT I have several textures. On the sides of my head and in the back are more 4c but those areas have curled way up as well! I followed up with [...] curl conditioner and then used the Shea Moisture Smoothie (smells SO yummy!). My curls are in full effect today!! No gel :)

I must say,this is some really good stuff..I've been using it for about a month now..it cleanse my hair really good and leaves it really soft...I use it with the shea butter conditioner..
