Stain finish is fair though has several lighter spots where lacquer spray was not applied solidly. was missing pre-drilled holes on one side of truck lid. Item had more than enough screws to do job, but was found to b
e short 2 wood finish plugs on completion. Item also had small chip in finish on trunk lid requiring touch-up with stain stick that I found at paint store that closely matched color. All of these problems occurred at manufacture not while shipped.
Thomasville this item is not, but a good value for price. Works in my mudroom for the kids as height is perfect for them.
Can you tell me how much room is under the bench? My husband wants to put his work boots under it since they are usually full of mud but not sure they'll fit.

After researching for hall tree's, I came across this one. I was hesitant about ordering online, since i ordered one from hayneedle and it arrived broken. I have to say this shipped on time and was properly wrapped. There were no broken pieces. The installation took a little over an hour. The color in not a true cherry. Its more of a shade of brown. Even though I read the specs I anticipated it to be taller. Overall for the price its a great piece. I am in love with it.
The storage bench is just right for our tiny mud room. There is enough room to hold all the dog supplies in addition to my purse. The top shelf is a good place to put sunglasses as I come in the back door. It was a good value. Putting it together was a little more difficult than we anticipated, but it turned out well and should last for many years.
Took me forever to put this up. Aside from being heavy,with all the parts that needed to be put together, it tends to get confusing. So I would recommend 2 or more people to work on assembling the rack. Then some holes weren't deep enough but then,luckily, my husband solved this problem. All in all, the rack looks and feels great. Sturdy and of good material plus was worth the amount we paid for it. Would recommend to anyone!
I was disappointed for several reasons. One-assembly was difficult because pieces did not align properly. Fortunately, my husband is handy with tools and was able to make it fit. Two- we got to the last step and discovered a missing piece. Three- it took several phone calls to finally reach someone who could help us. The part came in, and it looks great put together, but the inconvience was not worth it. I took my chances buying it online and won't do it again.
This piece is really a good buy. It would be nice if it were just a bit taller but I added some cute storage bins on the top shelf and it really completes its look. It arrived a full 2 days before the expected delivery which was awesome and no damage what so ever. It was packed and labeled very well. It on;y took about an hour to assemble with the help and distraction of my 6 and 4 year olds. I was able to fit all of our winter boots and snow pants/suits into the bench. There is tons of room un
derneath which is where our shoes go now. The screw caps needed a light tap with a hammer to keep them from being plucked out by our 4 year old. The safety hinges were the most annoying things to attach. I'm sure that if you have incredible strength in your hands they can be placed where marked...I was not so strong so I repositioned them as well as others who have reviewed this. This looks great near our front door, the style matches our windows and dinning set. Very happy to have a place for the kids to keep their backpacks and such. Truely a good investment!
I searched all over the internet and every furniture store in my city before finding this piece. We have had it for just under a year and it has held up wonderfully. It holds our jackets, keys, purses, diaper bag, shoes, and anything else that finds it way on or in it. Since we do not allow shoes in the house, it is a great place for our guests to take off their shoes and coats and drop their keys and/or purses. Oh and it arrived within a week with all of its parts and was very easy to put toge

The storage bench looks like it's from other stores and it's very nice quality. My Dad and I put it together pretty easily. I thought it would have a redder looking cherry wood color to it, but it's still a very attractive color. The bench is deep and it's just a solid piece of furniture. You'll love it!
Took a little while to put together and, I think the shipping company played soccer with it (which resulted in a tiny chip) but, other than that it's a fantastic product. Looks great and functions well! Well worth the money.
