Tried it and had high hopes but unfortunately dried my hair out horribly. I have medium porosity 4a curls and it initially softened my hair, but by the next morning it felt like straw. It's almost as if it's a hybrid between a shampoo and a curl cream. Please remove the sodium hydroxide ingredient. There are other ways to control the pH of a product.

New go to curl cream!!!
I really liked this product, it actually made my curls look so pretty, nourished, AND NOT FRIZZY!! I pair this with the "Curls Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Jelly" but it leaves my hair with this stale feeling BUT even by itself, this cream is smells really good and defines my curls! Definitely will be repurchasing!!

Totally Disappointed
This used to be my holy grail product for over 10 years until now. Ordered recently, and upon using it noticed the scent was off. Minutes later I felt very itchy around my face and neck. Looked at the label and noticed this now contains sodium hydroxide (and it's listed around the top of the ingredient list)! First of all, I'm allergic to sodium hydroxide. Secondly, that's an ingredient used to relax hair. Why would that even be in a curl product? Which explained why my curls seemed more dry & wiry. Why ruin a good thing?

Formula Changed
I used to exclusively use this curl cream because it was so light-weight and hydrated my curls really well. Ever since the formula changed it's super heavy and tacky, it feels like I'm putting glue in my hair. It also really weighs my hair down and makes it look so greasy. Super disappointed.

New formula-thumbs down
This has been my go-to tried and true for my curly hair forever. I stuck with it even as the price creeped up and up and up because it was by far my favorite product. I bought a new bottle and the color is off, the texture is sticky, and it does not do anything good for my hair. I’m so disappointed and distraught. Did they change the formula???

I’ve been using this product for YEARS. The last two bottles i bought were a light pinkish color instead of white and it has dried my hair out completely. i’m not sure if they changed something in their product or what, I hope this isn’t how it’s going to be now. Good product, wish it came in a jar instead
It smells nice and leaves my coily hair feeling soft and moisturized, I add gel afterwards to give it hold. My only dislike is the squeeze bottle that it comes it, I prefer a jar for my hair cream and gel. I also wish it was more than 8 oz

Great curls and very complimented scent
I’ve been using the “not your mothers” line but will definitely switch back to this not only does it smell so incredibly good that I get compliments everywhere I go, but it also had my curls looking the best. I have thinner curly hair, so it’s really important for me to have a product that doesn’t weigh down my hair.
