Great product with lots of uses!
Next to the real thing, these are the best & so much easier to prepare. These potatoes are great as a side dish or as a thickener for gravy & sauces in place of flour or starch. I always have some on hand. A real workhorse.

Not a good taste
I fixed a package of these as per instructions. When eating them with brown gravy, it tasted like something went bad-as in taste. I tasted the gravy-it was fine. I tasted the instant Idahoan Buttery Homestyle Mashed Potatoes and there it was. I guess it was supposed to be a buttery flavor, but when you're not expecting it, it tastes more like something has soured. I'm now looking for something to add to the water or substitute the water to hide the 'buttery' flavor. I've got a box with 11 pouches left.

I buy these Idahoan Potatoes regularly in all the flavors, but I like the Homestyle Buttery the best. These instant potatoes are so easy to whip up in just minutes and they are actually made from real potatoes and taste so good no one would ever know you didn't peel potatoes and mash them. They can be used in casseroles or any dishes that call for mashes potatoes. These are so much easier than the hassle of peeling, cooking and mashing potatoes. Try these and I'm sure you'll like them.

These are really great mashed potatoes and are so convenient to make, we've switched to this brand. Taste smooth and buttery w/o adding anything but water. And they are so easy to order from! Also discovered their other flavors are wonderful.
