Q: Is this like or better than Benihana ginger sauce because I have been looking for something similar for so long ?
- A: No, I don’t recommend this dressing. It is very tart and vinegary. It also has has a very strong celery flavor. I added sugar and ginger to the bottle just to make it edible. submitted bySuzeM - 6 years ago
- A: idk what SuzeM is talking about. but I have been to Benihana's and it is a direct copy. probably where they get their sauce from. my wife makes a dish very close to the benihanas fried rice I add this submitted byCoolcammy - 3 years ago
- A: Makoto Ginger dressing has tons of shaved or crushed ginger in it, if that helps. It is quite delicious. Totally yum. I haven't ever tried Benihana so I can't compare them. ~ K submitted byKbarle - 3 years ago
- A: This is great ginger dressing. It takes like restaurant ginger dressing. I highly recommend it. submitted byShaolin - 1 year ago
Q: Is Makoto certified Kosher?
- A: How is soy sauce an animal ingredient? My family and I eat a 100% plant-based diet and we eat this dressing daily! We love it on cabbage and broccoli slaw. submitted byRachel - 6 months ago
- A: The bottle isn’t marked Kosher. However, most of the ingredients are plant based. The only ingredient listed that is an animal product is soy sauce, so I guess would be a personal call submitted bySuzeM - 6 years ago
Q: Am I missing something? This is called a "ginger" dressing, yet I don't see ginger in the list of ingredients!
- A: Ginger is listed in the ingredients. We use fresh ginger. submitted byMakoto Dressing, Inc. - 2 years agoBrand expert
Q: Whar country is this produced in?
- A: Makoto is made in Florida. US. submitted byKbarle - 3 years ago
