I went back and forth between the mini salad spinner and the full size spinner. Ultimately, I chose the mini in order to save space in my limited cupboards. It was a prudent choice. The mini spinner fits easily inside my wooden salad bowl for storage, and if I need to dry more vegetables than will fit in one batch, the extra batch only takes an extra minute.

I recently bought this Mimi Salad Spinner when I was home on vacation. I have one and I use it almost every day, and I love it. My parents are elderly and eat salad almost every day. The find this to be so much better than trying to clean and dry your lettuce. They have an medical aide for my Mother, who also assists them with meals and made the comment she is buying one for her house. It is such a simple and small kitcen appliance, but so needed. I am very happy with this product.

I nearly bought the larger of these spinners because I wasn't sure the small one would be enough. But it is. It is very deep, which means a lot of greens fit in nicely. The plastic outer bowl is sturdy and has a non-skid bottom. Great buy for the money.

I always wanted a salad spinner because it saves the seemingly thousands of paper towels it takes to dry lettuce and it's so fun to use! I've put up to five full leaves of green-leaf lettuce in there and it works like a charm! Just spin, push the "brake" button, pour out the water and repeat until it's as dry as you like it! This salad spinner does work well. The mini size is good for two people. I soak my leafy produce then put them in the spinner. The spinner is easy to operate, just push down on the knob a couple of times. The stop button does work effectively. I later store my salad in the bowl without the colander. There does remain a little moisture but so does everything else in my fridge that is inside a container. I highly recommend this spinner.

I eat more greens just knowing I don't have to spend a fortune in paper towels and time drying lettuce and other produce. It's actually kind of fun to use and aside from losing one point for being a space-hog in the cabinet, I'd give it a top rating. I love it. I even spin-dry other produce, like grapes. After my mother, who is a total kitchen traditionalist and sceptic used it one time, she went out and bought one. It's just that good...

It was smaller than I thought it would be when I got it, but that makes it easier to store. So far, it seems to be very durable and I use it at least once a week. It was a great buy for the following reasons. 1. It is compact, so it fits well in my cabinet. 2. It fits on the top shelf of my dishwasher. 3. It is very durable and gets the water off the lettuce after washing it - no one likes soggy lettuce. I would recommend this salad spinner for everyone else!

this spinner does stop with a separate button as does the zyliss model. however, it requires a sturdy surface & tons of plunging down to make it go round. the zyliss model uses a handle attached to a pull-cord, & can be done sitting anywhere! the kitchenaid huge one has separation available for small portions of different veggies or berries, for less brutality. however, it has no button to stop spin. going gung-ho plunging can be a frustration, as the spin will stop if you go too far do wn.i would say this is a good model, however if you prefer fun & a rest instead of a workout...go zyliss!
