Directions ■ To use as a cleanser: Wet face. Squeeze into hands and gently massage all over the face, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. ■ To use as a mask: Do not exceed 2 to 3 times per week. Squeeze into hands. Smooth an even layer over skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow to dry up to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. ■ Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. ■ If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. ■ If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. A: In my opinion not really. I don’t get a “deep clean feeling” afterwards even though it tingles during use. It’s good for maintenance I guess if your skin is already mostly “clear” although I haven’t used it consistently. I think it works best after makeup has been removed and you’ve already washed your face w a cleanser

Definitely effective, better as a mask
I've been using this mask/wash for years, as my skin seemingky never got the memo that puberty ended many years ago for me. My daughter borrowed mine so much I had to get her her own bottle, and now it's one of her faves as well. As a wash, it is effective but better used as the second step in double cleansing. This is because, while it will help kill bacteria and keep pimples in check, I don't feel it's the best cleanser for removing oils or any other residue. As a mask (after cleansing), it help to absorb oil as it dries and has a bigger effect on pimples since it's on the face longer. Overall, it's a solid and effective double tasker.

Refreshing & Acne Fighting!

Great cleanser. Clears skin. Only one point off because of the fragrAnce in it. Its kind of stuck in 2003. And it lingers after being rinsed off. Wish they would reformulAte this to be fragrance free like most of their skincare

I remember how gentle and super clean feeling I felt after using this! I preferred it as a mask but using as a cleanser also felt nice, the only difference is I felt this was a little too strong to use daily for my face specifically. I’m always trying new products but I think I’m going to have to go back to this! If it ain’t broke don’t fix it lol

One solution for my black heads and pores
I want to share my experience with this product, I have a lot of blackheads and open pores, I have been using nose strips to clear blackheads every week but it comes back in one day I have used tons of products but so far this is the best. The trick and secret is that leave it on your skin for 5 mins and then rinse off, you will see a clear difference within a week. I love this face mask and use it twice a week.

I’ve been using Neutrogena Clear Pore for a few weeks and I’m really impressed! The Oil-Eliminating Astringent helps control shine without drying me out too much, and the Cleanser/Mask version gives me that deep clean when I need it. My pores look smaller, blemishes are less frequent, and my skin feels balanced—not overly tight. I especially appreciate how the mask-cleanser combo can double as a treatment when I leave it on for a few minutes. The only downside is a strong scent and a tingling feel if I use it too often, so I alternate with gentler products and always follow up with a moisturizer. Definitely a go-to if you want clearer, oil-controlled skin!

Very good acne cleanser
This daily cleanser/mask is amazing! I was having a breakout with more than usual acne! I bought this to try and see if it would work to start clearing up my skin and it starting working instantly! I use it to wash my face in the morning and in the evening I will put it on as a mask! It does not have a smell to me which is something I also like about this product!
