For Sunscreen Use: Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Reapply at least every 2 hours. Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 A.M.- 2 P.M. The formula has changed, and not for the better. A previously unscented, wonderfully moisturizing product has been replaced with waxy, garbage lip balm that smells like chemicals and fake flowers.

This feels great and lasts. I like the SPF feature. Only issue is the tube design. If I leave this in my car in a hot day, even if I prop it up on its base, the contents will melt and leak out of the tube. More traditional lip balm tubes don't do that.

This used to be my favorite lip balm. They recently changed the packaging AND the formula. It used to have no fragrance and was so soft and smooth. It was wonderful for my sensitive lips. Now it is dry and waxy like cheap, generic chap stick. It has added fragrance now too. I checked the ingredients and sure enough they are totally different. Why ruin a good thing?

The product I picked up at Target had slightly different packaging than what's shown online-- notably, it's not labeled as "A Kiss of," but rather just "Smoothness." Based on the reviews, my guess is that "A Kiss of Smoothness" was an unscented product, but it was recently reformulated with fragrance in 2018/2019 and repackaged as just "Smoothness."
I would pay attention to recent reviews written in the past year regarding the scent because they are absolutely true. This stuff tastes like soap smells. Why Nivea didn't just go with a more food-like fragrance is beyond me. If it weren't for the fragrance, this would be my holy grail lip balm because it has a good balance of slip and staying power, and the added SPF is a plus (particularly since they included octocrylene to stabilize avobenzone).

Only place I could find it was Target. This is by far my favorite lip balm. Very moisturizing. I will say I’m very disappointed that it now has a scent but it’s not terrible.

This lip balm is pretty meh. It isn't particularly mosturizing, it doesn't last long on the lips, and the flavor is unpleasantly bland. But it is cheap and has a little SPF!

This used to be my favorite lip balm, but they have changed it. Now it has an almost powdery-like scent and an unpleasant aftertaste - tastes like you put Nivea lotion on your lips!

NIVEA Smoothness Lip Care. NIVEA what did you do? This was the PERFECT product! I've been buying it for years and recently ordered six of them. I removed all six from their packages, and went to use the first one yesterday. As I brought it up to my face I could immediately tell something was different - I could smell a surprisingly strong scent. I put it on my lips, and sure enough, NIVEA has ruined this product by adding a sickly-sweet perfume scent to it. Unless you are looking for a product that doubles as perfume, avoid this. Looks like I'm looking for a new product...but what the heck am I going to do with the other five I haven't used? :-(
