it is the perfect size for small spaces, but the ends are just too slippery and doesn’t hold anything it just keeps slipping no matter how tight you make it. overall did not like it and i will be returning it

Should have listened to reviews this was awful.

I’m giving 4 starts only because I did have to exchange for a new one since the first one did not tighten the screw just kept spinning. The second one I got worked perfectly and I’m using it to hold my newborns clothes.

Too big to fit a 17" window even though it's listed as 16-24".

I have followed every direction each time I put it up yet every single time it falls down. Very frustrating.

Unfortunately, when I used their threshold-branded curtains, I need to apply more pressure onto the rod and these rods are so cheaply made that they scratched the heck out of my wall despite having the rubber on each end

Very affordable. Easy to adjust. This tension rod worked perfectly allowing me to hang a simple curtain over an unsightly storage area.

Not sturdy. Doesn’t stay on, do not recommend

Mine came with all the hardware and was easy to adjust. The problem is that I could not compress the spring enough to get the adequate tension. I could if I pressed it on the floor vertically, but when trying to place it in the window, I couldn’t get it. It ended up being too loose and wouldn’t not support the pillow fort tassel blackout curtain.

Bought several. One has a glitch so will need to return it but the rest are great.

Never used a tension rod like this design & I actually like it.

I needed this as a short term fix to provide some privacy between two rooms that lacked a door. The width I needed was 72”, so this rod had plenty of extra length if I had needed more. The rod is simple and straightforward to put up. It worked in a pinch and the price is low. Good value.

Bought two of these, as I thought the price was great. It was my fault for not realizing it was not a tension style rod, instead you have to screw the spring to the desired length then push in, one of the rods screw was stripped and we couldn't tighten it. Decided to return both, as it was a hassle to have to adjust by screwing it down and then it was hard to get even.

Of course, the twist tension rods are more convenient. I like oval shaped tension rods because they're slimmer and cheap curtains seem to hang better. I have a whole set of oval shaped ten rod set look identical that were purchased about fifteen years ago at a reputable hardware chain. Yes, these are inferior, but they are also about half the price that I paid fifteen years ago. Much of the negativity seems to revolve around the nature of these rods, which is tedious. The screw to tighten the spring is temperamental on these rods, which renders their installation even more of a chore. Yes, you might have to adjust several times! That's the nature of the beast. Now, for the rubber tips. I've had twist tension rods at a much higher price point rip the paint off. That being said, please examine the tips of the rods that you're purchasing because some of them clearly had a manufacturing defect. These are certainly not the best oval tension rods that I've purchased in my life, but I was fairly satisfied considering the price point and their immediate availability at the store.

It was easy to install and holds my sheer curtains. It was also more than half the price less than the one I ordered from Amazon and am still waiting for 3 weeks later so I can return it.

Would give zero stars if I could. One of the rubber end feet broke off before I'd even put it up!

I purchased these to hang curtains underneath a loft bed. They worked perfectly for lightweight curtains. Easy to install with your own screwdriver, not the one they give you.

Scratched up my wall in multiple places while trying to keep the rod up. It kept sliding and scratching paint off until it stayed. Looking for a replacement as we speak since it’s bending at the middle with less than 5 pound curtains.

I could not get it together to use. I will never do that again. Got one from Amazon
