submitted bySimpleExpert - 6 years agoBrand expertA: Yes, unfortunately, the beneficial ingredients are now lower in the list, and the plant antioxidant is now LAST (chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract) instead of higher up. So bummed, as this was my go-to as a cleanser and also beneficial leave on. I switched to CeraVe, which has ceramides and niacinamide higher in the list.

Q: Is there an expiration or "use by" date for Simple Micellar Cleanser? I just found an opened bottle that got shuttled to the back of a linen closet shelf, but there's no info about dates.

A: Hi there - all products will have a production code printed on the back or bottom of each container such as: MMDDY/Plant code using a 2-digit month, 2-digit day, and last digit of the year (Ex. 04270PP01 = April 27, 2020). Please note this is the date of production, and not an expiration date. Generally, our products have a shelf life of three years from this date when stored at room temperature. Q: I just purchased this product. I have to say at this time I am not a fan so maybe I am not using it correctly. Do you also use a face soap with this or do you just use a cotton ball and cleanse the face with this?

A: That is a great question! Our Simple Unscented Micellar Cleansing Water is our most advanced facial cleanser to date, yet it is gentle on even the most sensitive skin. We recommend following the directions listed on the product by appling a generous amount of product to a cotton pad. The wipe the cotton pad all around the face. Definitely a staple in skin care
If you need to cleanse face and don’t wanna do a full wash this is definitely a must have. You can literally just grab a wipe or cleansing pad, dap some on and go about your day. And it’s also inexpensive.

Excellent product to remove makeup
This product is great and does not effect my sensitive skin. It is very effective and takes makeup off with only a few wipes. It is fairly priced and affordable. The packaging is basic but does the job it needs. There is no scent as it is designed for sensitive skin.

Lightweight and Easy to Use
Love this! Easy to use and very lightweight. Doesn’t feel greasy and can easily remove makeup. Even mascara and waterproof makeup. Just wet a cotton pad and press it gently on your skin to remove makeup. Very light to no scent which is amazing!

Great makeup remover
I've been using the Simple brand micellar water for years. It just works for me. It takes off the most stubborn makeup and does not irritate my sensitive skin. I like that it's not scented. It does not leave any residue on my face. Even though I still cleanse my face after I use this product, my skin feels refreshed right after I use it.

PLEASE REVERT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL FORMULA
This was my favorite brand of micellar water, and I never had any reaction before. I recently bought a new one, and it burns my skin… and leaves red splotches on my face.

Missing previous ingredients not as good now
Please bring back the original ingredients. I'm looking to find another brand that might have them. It's not at all the same. I can buy other brands that are similar to yours. contains the calming, beneficial ingredients previously (niacinamide, vitamin c, chamomile). They’ll be losing a lot of customers!!!!! Why change a good thing?

It works great!
The cleansing water works really well even on someone like me who has very oily skin. It takes makeup off with ease and even works good for just cleaning your face when you’re in a hurry.
