We originally bought this to make pancakes, but we've ended up using it for so much more. The smooth side is perfect for eggs, bacon, pancakes, and quesadillas. The ridged side is great for burgers and chicken. Only needs a bit of cooking spray, it's easy to clean. The only problem we've experienced is that the coating on the unused side scrapes off easily if it rubs against the burners, we just have to be careful not to slide it around once it's on the stove top. Overall a great product and we use it several times a week. see less

I went shopping for this so i could grill meats: bacon, beef patties, pork belly, etc. Originally i was using a pan/skillet to cook really fatty meats like bacon, but since I would cook a lot at the same time, eventually the pan will start to smoke from the burning in of the saturated fat. My whole apartment would fill up with smoke and my smoke alarm would go off. So I decided to buy some new cookware, aparently this griddle was exactly what i needed. I was considering to buy this or the $10 more, iron casted grilled; note: this is an aluminum casted griddle, but works just as fine as the iron one, cheaper, and lighter to carry. The coating is much more smoother than the iron griddles and works better in cooking, so I dont have anything stuck against the griddle. Also the fatty oils drip down to the side which is perfect. The smoking problem I am no longer having, Cleaning is an absolute charm, it is handwash only, but not a problem, extremely easy to clean without any difficulty. I am very happy that I invested into this cookware and nothing else. I plan to use it for a long time. see less

I had electric griddle, much cheaper, pain in behind to get out and clean,but this griddle is awesome. I pre-heat it over the gas elements, put on bacon, let it cook, then, pancakes french toast or fried eggs. once turn any of them, turn eyes off, walk away, stays hot enough to cook and still not burn. Cleans up easily also. The seasoning is perfect./ I do put quick spray of Pam on first, but that just keeps bacon from sticking. We are having family breakfast 3 to 4 times a week now, before, once every 2 weeks. see less

We love the versatility of this griddle. Works great for chicken tenderloins or fajitas! The reverse is great for eggs, pancakes and grilled sandwiches. It sits well on our gas stove and rarely gets put away. Have given as a gift and would recommend it! see less

Purchased this griddle last night, used it this morning. Worked well. Before using it, I rinsed it with warm water, then slathered coconut oil on the flat side, which was the side I was going to use today for making pancakes. Heated the griddle up nice and hot on the stove, wiped off the excess oil, and then let it cool down before using a few hours later. When I used it, we did slather it with butter and coconut oil, to work on really building up the seasoning. see less

You get what you pay for is a known fact. I bought a cheaper verion of this grill/griddle and when the heat hit it, it warpped and even started chipping. Out it went it went. I got this one now and love it. I find myself cooking everything and anything on it. Washes nicely, even heat - -have long burner on stove-- and would not trade it for anything. see less

Best grill pan ever. My only complaint would be the small fires that happen on my stove.But I still love it. The fire makes the food taste betters anyway!!Love love love love this pan.It weighs 13 pounds and is very good quality.I definitely recommend it to everyone!! see less

Another product that splatters all over. Going to use it on the BBQ instead of house stove. Food qualtiy was very good. Mess to clean up. Made Ribs with BBQ sauce. Sauce stuck to griddle, had to soak it and use grill brush to remove. All cooked on medium heat. see less

I bought this because it was one of the few items on target.com that did not say " not safe for glass cook tops.". I figured if it didn't say that like other cookware that it was okay to use. Well, I used for the first time to make grilled chicken and it worked GREAT! It's of excellent quality and I'm very happy with it. Can't wait to make pancakes on it. see less

I have had mine for two years now and it is great! I use it everyday for fajitas, eggs, pancakes, mexican quisados, and carne asada. It does not flake, it does not warp and it is easy to clean let cool down completely, add a little water for five minutes and then clean lightly with a soft sponge and soap. I needed a griddle really bad and I tried some other ones that were poor quality. Then there are the ones that need high maintenance, lubricate, oil down once a month blah blah blah. I have owned the Calphalon 1218 11x18 double griddle for about 4 years and use it about once a week for pancakes. This griddle appears to be a newer model. Mine does not have rubber handles. I have always used it on my flattop range and love it. It fits nicely over two burners and heats evenly. I do spray lightly with cooking spray and set my burners at a medium heat -- 4-5 on a 9 scale. It has not warped. I cool it completely before wiping it with dish detergent and water. It never needs to be scrubbed and has no buildup of gunk. I am considering buying one for each of my children but your "glass cooktop" reviews are scaring me. Perhaps the newer model is not as well made as my model? see less

This double griddle fits perfectly over two burners. My kids like pancakes and you can never quite fit two in a regular pan. I can easily get 6 pancakes on this thing. The nonstick is awesome too. I like the Ecolution colossal pan but this one gets even higher marks. see less

This griddle is a perfect size for my stove top... not too big, not too small. It heats evenly, and has been easy to clean. I lke how deep the grill is to th edges.... great for holding juices without spilling. I also use this on my BBQ grill... works Great! see less

Just goes to show that I don't read directions. Thank goodness for the comments here about docking it so that it would actually work. I used it once when I bought it fall of last year, it was great. I dusted it off a week ago and it would not turn on. I have bought Aroma products over the years and have never been disappointed. I had dropped one part of the grill and then it won't work, thought that I had screwed it up. didn't use it for a couple of mos and just let it sit, was thinking of tossing it, when I decided to see if someone else had the same problem... read the one review that said the temp probe HAS to be lined up correctly.... I got my grill after christmas, and I have used it alot! Ithas never let me down. It cleans up very easily, and it canbe stored pretty fast. I have made alot of the dishes thatSAM made on the dvd,& they turned out GREAT!!! You shoulddefinitely buy this. Every kitchen should have one!! see less

I bought this griddle because it specifically said it was great for glass top stoves and it was well reviewed on other websites. I've tried to make pancakes twice and both times it cooked extremely unevenly. I've never had anything like this happen when making pancakes. I tried cooking at different temperatures and I followed various tips and tricks posted online. The results were inedible pancakes both times. One part of the pancake would be nearly burnt and the other still raw. Perhaps this griddle works better on gas stoves but stay away from it if you have a glass top stove. This griddle is being returned. see less

I was so glad to have a nice, thick non-stick skillet, until I used it. The paint on the bottom of the pan melted onto my glass-top stove! It was murder trying to get it off! Not worth the risk. see less
