A: Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Our cord-free machines are fairly easy to clean and maintain. The clear dust bin can be removed from the machine so you have better access to the cyclone. You can use a brush tool from your machine to clear off any dust or built-up debris on the outer mesh of the cyclone and you can also tap the cyclone on the edge of your trash can to help remove any dirt trapped inside. So easy to use. No more cords to worry about. Makes carpeted stairs easy to clean. I also find it so easy to vacuum under furniture as it is so flexible. I find myself vacuuming more often because it is so easy just to take it off the wall and vacuum up a place I see needs cleaning in between my regular vacuuming and hang it back up again.

I am absolutely loving my V15 Detect so far. The suction power is truly amazing for a stick vacuum, and the laser makes it so much easier to pick up things you would never know are there. I also love that the screen tells me what all I am actually picking up. Coolest feature ever! The only downfall is that you have to constantly hold the trigger in order for it to operate. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to not have to do that. I'm so glad I splurged and bought this vacuum!

Yeah, the cleaner is almost perfect. I really like to vacuum just before breakfast. It's like a video game (especially with the green-glowing vacuum-brush accessory). But... The trigger is too sensitive, if it comes to my expectations. It's really easy to unexpectedly run the engine by mistake. For example while detaching the cleaner from the wall. Additionally, I would like to have some kind of run-and-block button available. Simply... to not have to press the trigger all the time of vacuuming. Beside of that, Dyson is perfect.

Was really excited about purchasing to be totally disappointed by performance. Only worked well if in boost, which meant you have 9 minutes before needing to recharge. Our carpets are thin too, so I can only imagine what thicker carpeting would be.

I have an excellent Dyson DC15 Animal Ball vacuum and it still does an outstanding job. But as I've aged I've wanted something lighter, easier to maneuver, but still gives exceptional results. The Dyson V15 Detect has met all my expectations. Knowing the house needed regular vacuuming I was a bit ambivalent about this chore as the Ball is heavy and I did dread wrestling with the power cord. Now I actually look forward to vacuuming as the V15 is so easy to use and not nearly as tiring as the upright. Plus, I'm through with chore much, much quicker than previously using the Ball. Did I mention how easy it is now to get under the sofa, chairs, tables, etc. without having to attach another tool to reach these low areas? The V15 is great to use on throw rugs moving the front gates on the power head to the minus (-) position and selecting the Eco mode. Also, leaving the power head on that minus selection also makes it easier to push the vacuum on regular carpet using the Medium/Auto mode. I've not used the Boost mode as I feel that I haven't needed it.

I got this Dyson for Christmas to replace my first model that I had and I love it. I have 2 Dyson’s one that’s an actual vacuum and this one,I find myself using this one way more than the actual vacuum. I love the digital display and the battery last three times or more than the other one I had. Also, with this one I love the fact that you can take it completely apart to clean it.

I bought this vacuum V15 , two weeks ago and I am using it everyday. It is light, strong and not very noisy .With the laser light you can see everything. I have my son dog to visit me for a day and I vacuumed the house right after he left and I was shocked how much hair it was everywhere but I couldn't see it , only with the laser from the vacuum. So I love the laser and hated it in the same time 😅😅😅 by the way my son has also V11 for more then 4 years and it runs like new even though it was dropped many times... Four stars because is kinda pricey...

This is my fourth machine over the years and it’s worth every penny in my opinion. There are certainly some design elements that could improve such as having to hold the trigger down but it’s not a big deal. Whenever I upgrade my model, I give my old model to my dad :) I use the vacuum at least twice a week. It’s super easy to maneuver on hardwoods, tile, and low pile rugs and carpet. I dont recommend this machine to people who have high pile carpeting as it isn’t as good for that type. I have had only minor issues with the motor head in my last model and the Dyson warranty covered them sending a new one. Customer service is always easy and efficient. You won’t be disappointed! Off note with this model with the laser head: BEWARE of the grossness you will see lol! For me, it caused way too much internal anxiety seeing all the dust and every single blemish of your floors which make you feel like your house is disgusting. I used it once and decided I couldn’t take it mentally so i stick with the regular motor head for day to day use.

inoperable after 2 months. Battery would not charge. Can't talk to anyone just email. Got new battery but it would not charge either so now they say it's the charger but it is "out of stock with no estimated time of arrival".

I’ve always had canister-style vacuums and really wanted something less bulky, no hoses or cords. This is perfect! It’s easy to grab and clean up a mess or vacuum the whole house. Even my kids like to vacuum with it (extra bonus)! I was disgusted though at the amount of dirt and dog hair it picked up on my first use! Gross!!! I will always be a Dyson customer!!
