We have had this trike for about a month now; my son is not happy sitting in a stroller anymore and this beats walking at his dawdling 15-month pace. Originally we were deciding between this or a Kettler with a pushbar (Brummi or Navigator). I wanted a trike that had a pushbar, a lockable front wheel so that the kid couldn't turn it, thereby letting the parent steer, and that had pedals which would only move when pushed on. In the end I decided on this one because the seat and handlebar have greater size range than the Kettler trikes, meaning it could be used longer, hopefully until he's ready for a bike. Also, because he is so tiny still, he struggled to get on other trikes with traditional crossbar design, and the curved shape of the bar on the oko is less difficult for him to access, another selling point for us.I attached a bike horn to the toy, and my son really loves riding around on the trike and tooting the horn. We don't have the fights about leaving the park anymore. Other kids at the park think it's neat too!Positives:.Pushbar, lockable wheel and stationary pedals, as mentioned above..It has a nice wide wheel base, hard to tip over..The seat is padded and appears to be comfortable, with a nice seatbelt..The wheels are large wide rubber, meaning you can roll over pretty much everything easily..Very sturdy frame.Negatives:.The handlebar does not lock securely into the trike, meaning it tends to telescope in as time goes on, and also rotate from side to side. Even when you tighten it beyond belief, it still starts wobbling after a day or so. Furthermore, the paint on the handlebar is black and all this wobbling is scraping it off, making it look cruddier than a $100 tricycle ought to..There is nowhere convenient to hang stuff from. I bought a stroller cup holder for the handle, but I am still trying to figure out some equivalent of the stroller's basket. Kettlers have baskets on the back, a nice feature missing here..The plastic piece that locks the front wheel broke the first time I tried to use it. I got a replacement no questions asked from the U.S. Italtrike representative (even though I didn't buy from them and told them so) but still...it's kind of flimsy for the important role it plays. Even the new piece tends to pop out of place every few blocks or so. .The canopy looked cool in the pictures I saw, but when we set it up, I took it right back off because it was too Mars Rover. Also, it's narrowness combined with its distance from the kid means a very limited amount of shade provided. However, the canopy is fixed onto the caps that are needed to close the trike frame, meaning our trike has exposed screw holes where the cap would otherwise go. A small thing, but on a $100 trike, you can be picky. It's not that hard to design a canopy that can be removed without a screwdriver.Overall, I think it's not the "ideal" tr
