I began reading this series over the summer, and I have to say that it's one of the best stories I've come across (I daresay better than Twilight). Each character has a distinct personality which makes it easy to care about them. The plot continues to intrigue, and I honestly could not put the books down once I began reading. HOWEVER, I will warn parents: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERIES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 16. The language and situations presented are of a more mature nature that younger teens mi ght not necessarily be ready to handle or understand. I originally picked up this series for my tween, and immediately decided that it was much too adult in nature for her
