I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product! I got it when my oldest two were 2 & 3. They loved it then. They are now 5 & 6 1/2 and STILL love it! My eldest makes creative pictures without using the wooden guides at all. He last made a war ship with smoke coming out the smokestack--it was really cool. This toy has helped them master their colors, shapes, counting, creative expression, hand/eye coordination, and much more! I played this in 3rd Grade and now going to 6th. This was so fun. You can create your own shapes. It was just really fun. The bad part might be the that there isn't anymore and you would have to buy more. Wait, there isn't a bad part! You WOULD want to buy it!
We got this toy when my youngest turned 3. He enjoys it and follows the colors on the boards. His two older brothers enjoy it and try to use different shape blocks to create the shape patterns rather than relying on what the colors on the board show. They also have races to make the patterns on the board but place the pieces on the floor. All of them have used the shapes to create their own pictures as well. My oldest (8) uses them in beginning geometry. Great toy!
