This might be good for slicked back hairstyles, not sure, that's not what I bought it for. But I absolutely cannot recommend this for a gel cast on curly hair. There was no crunch to scrunch out and it left my hair looking and feeling dirty.

Left my shir stidky, matted, and dirty feeling
Left my hair feeling sticky, matted and dirty feeling. I have fine straight hair and blow dry it with gel to add body. This the worst, and the only completely unacceptable, produce I have ever used. I have to rewash my hair after using it.

Miss the old formula :-(
Unfortunately, this is not it for me anymore. I used the old one for many years and it was my holy grail. I kept using this thinking it would work. Nope. On to the search for a new strong hold gel.

Turned up in "fragrance free" product search but it is not. Made my eyes watery & puffy after a few hours. Works well to give my fine hair a better hold for ballet bun & a shiny smooth appearance for dance class but there were still some flyaways so it wasn't great for shows. Also weighs it down too much for any other style so always wanted to wash it out immediately after.

No white flakes or white cast! This is the best gel I’ve used for my I 4c hair, it works beautiful it doesn't revert your hair quickly so you can maintain your length and curls. I will continue to buy this as long as it works!

Long time user of original formula. The new aloe extract formula burned my forehead extremely bad . Days of treatment to relieve the burning damage it caused.

This stuff is awful. The good gel, the strong stuff that actually worked, was fantastic. I never understood why companies ditch good products only to replace them with crap. Sad!!

Does not like side tge side effects
The gel held well, but I only used it once. After the first use I noticed it changed my hair texture and made my hair really dry. I threw the gel away after the first use.
