triple mint dark chocolate cocoa
what you need
- 1 (8.5 ounce) bag DOVE Mint & Dark Chocolate Swirl Chocolates, unwrapped
- 2 cups boiling water
- 4 envelopes Archer Farms Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup crème de menthe or 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 8 candy canes or starlight mints, crushed
- Place chocolates and 1/2 cup boiling water in a medium saucepan. Whisk until smooth.
- Add cocoa mix and continue whisking while adding remaining boiling water in a steady stream. Whisk in milk, then heat over medium heat until steaming hot but not boiling. Keep hot over low heat.
- Whisk cream just until soft peaks form. Whisk crème de menthe into cocoa, then divide among 8 mugs. Top with cream and crushed mint candies and serve immediately.
