Most reviewers have said they used it for their entryway, but I've actually used this for my mud room. I had been looking for a while for something wide enough that wasn't cheesy and didn't cost a fortune. After looking in several high end stores I saw this online and took a chance.....boy was I delighted with the end result! It was like the vision in my head translated to the room. High end style well worth the much cheaper price. The back is hidden being up against the wall, but really, who looks at the back anyway? I personally like the cushions, but I can always change them whenever I want. We plan on putting black skid resistant matting under the baskets to take care of any potential scratches some of the previous reviewers mentioned. Bottom line, this is a winner across the board!!!!! see less

I read the reviews before purchasing and have to agree with nearly all of them. This is a great piece of furniture for the price and is just as nice as the [$] one from "the other store." Plus, this one comes with what I think are attractive and sturdy baskets and even cushions. To be honest, the fabric on the cushions is cheap and tacky, but I plan to recover them or maybe remove them altogether. Assembly was quick and easy. In fact, it took longer for me to get the pieces out of the box than it did to actually assemble them! A quick note though, I covered the bottom edges of the baskets with felt using hot glue to protect the bottom of the shelves from getting scratched. We'll have to see how this works out long-term. see less

I ordered this for my entryway. It looks very stylish and modern. The wood was sturdy, and I was able to put this together by myself. I recommend using a drill for the board in the back of the bench, otherwise a screwdriver is all that is needed for installation. The manufacturers do provide you one. I also plan to recover the pads with a different fabric, which looks like it will be easy to do. I'm very pleased with this bench. see less

I love it. My husband loves it. We put it together in an hour. Quite sturdy. Aired the baskets out overnight in the garage. The 3 cushions are hard, smelly and a strange color. I am ordering a one piece cushion from that other high priced store. This was a fabulous deal and it was on sale, plus free shipping. I recommend this bench. see less

I needed a simple storage bench for an exercise room. Saw this in an upscale catalog for twice the price. Version at Target seemed to be pretty much the same plus included the baskets and cushions. Pretty basic stuff, typical painted particle board but looks good. It was easy to assemble by myself, directions were clear, no special tools needed (just a philips screwdriver), no problems fitting together. Painted all white (no dirty looking antique finish as some other reviewers noted), baskets were good quality, I plan to replace the cushions with a solid bench cushion. Pleased with this purchase. see less

I was looking for a console or entryway table for over a year, and was so excited when I found this one. It is perfect! I really like the different storage options of a small drawer, open shelves, and bins. This table allows the entryway to be useful yet appear organized and clean. The color is a perfect match to my dark cherry fireplace. This is a very practical, stylish piece of furnature and all at a good price. It was not too difficult to put together. It took me about an hour, and I needed an extra hand once or twice. The table was in great condition when delivered. The box at delvery is heavy, but that is good because the furnature is great quality and sturdy. see less

It was easy to assemble and it is very sturdy. True black in color. I hang little baskets on the end hooks for keys and odds and ends. Coats in the center. 3 Baskets purchased to store my boys hats and gloves. We also purchased the black bench same width, that has 2 doors to use for shoe storage. I love my Target! see less

I registered for this for a wedding gift. We got it, as well as a black bench to set below it in our entry way. Shelf is made beautifully & looks great up. The reason why I gave the shelf 3 stars is because it was NOT FUN trying to hang it! The shelf did not include screws and there are not pre-drilled holes in the wood slat, which makes it hard to hang -on a metal stud wall. They also do not include screw covers, so the screws heads are exposed in cubby holes -filling with black caulk or filling the cubbies with small bins would solve the problem. It took us a while to come up with a method on how to hang the shelf, but once we got it up---its beautiful! Advice would be to have 2 people to help hang &measure & to be patient with the whole process. In the end, its worth it! see less

This cabinet seems like good quality. It was probably the easiest thing I have ever assembled and took me 15 minutes to put together. Only issue I had with it was that the top had a scratch on it. I don't usually report those types of things but since it was somewhat pricey, I did call the manufacturer. They told me they do not replace large pieces, only small and told me to call target.com. So I did that and they said I could either return the entire item, which I did not want to do since it was already assembled before I noticed the scratch, or they would give me a 10 percent discount so that is what I did. I would have preferred a replacement part but at least it was something. The shelf inside is adjustable which is nice. I would like to point out that the hinges in the picture are white but it actually has oil-rubbed bronze hinges, which is perfect for me since that is the hardware I have anyways and makes it looks like better quality. see less

I bought this cabinet for all of the shoes just laying around in our entryway. Each wicker section holds 3 or 4 pairs of flats and the door area stores boots well. Much nicer looking than a plain shoe rack! see less

This piece is a good value. The instructions are very clear, and they use words, not just pictures. The hardware came beautifully arranged and labeled on cardboard and shrink wrapped. I needed to have the door on the left so it took a lot longer to assemble than it I had just wanted it the way it was. I had to re-drill several holes and use different hinges, but in the end, I got it assembled the way I wanted. It would be good if it could be assembled either way easily, or if it were offered in a right or left version. Also, it could be a little larger, say 10% see less

This entryway cabinet is very nice and good quality for self put together furniture. It's the best one I brought. I didn't give a 5 star rating for quality because of the baskets. They are cheap and the metal frame will scratch the shelf over time. I threw them away. Other than this, it's functional for me. I use the shelves for books with no baskets. The color is a good medium brown and no red tone in it. I will buy this brand again. see less

Fits perfectly into my very small foyer, but you get a lot of storage. I do have to say the color is a LOT lighter - almost like cherry wood - it looks much darker in the picture which was really the color I wanted. However, given how well it fits I'm willing to overlook that fact. see less

It was very affordable, very easy to put together, the canvas bins are included, everything is clearly marked and it was exactly the way it looked online. I am very pleased. After 2 years of looking for the right entryway table I found this one. Exactly what I was looking for because of the drawer and shelves for extra storage. It came in a large and fairly heavy box and took about 2 hours to put together. I think it could have gone a bit faster if I was working with someone else who also knew how to use the tools but it was pretty simple. Table is very sturdy and the drawer slides in/out so smoothly. Bonus was the 2 canvas bins which I didn't initially realize came with the table. Overall a great buy and I am very happy with it, especially for the price! see less
