I buy these every year to go in my cookie gift boxes and they truly are the best! I’ve tried recipes from scratch before and they aren’t as good! They have this one figured out

The Betty Crocker cookie mix is great but Target Customer service is lacking. No one will answer the phone no matter how many times I've called. Very frustrating. Guest service is inadequate.

The instructions were easy and I had all the needed ingredients at home already. Preparation was easy and my cookies came out perfectly. We made Christmas cookies. They looked great and tasted delicious!

I bake for every big occasion. They say their favorite is the first day of school baked good but Christmas cookies is a close second. I usually do everything from scratch but honestly these gingerbread cookies taste so good you wouldn’t even know. They are the perfect amount of ginger and sugar a classic gingerbread and not too sweet. Also comes out chewy and firm just a classic gingerbread cookie really. As long as you follow the instructions it’s easy fast and delicious. The dough rolls out easily as long as you only soften your butter not melt it you won’t even need to refrigerate before rolling out. Pro tip the colder the dough the less they spread. For significantly less than buying ingredients or if you are in a hurry I definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bagged cookie mixes are usually around a dollar, and this was considerably more. Not sure if this has something to do with tariffs though. The directions on here aren't that great. Should probably start with creaming the butter then gradually adding the mixture and other ingredients. I didn't think about it before I started. So it came to be a very unblended dough and I just mixed with my hands to finish. The dough is quite sticky, and the instructions say to refrigerate for 15 minutes. I did that and it makes no difference. I get that you don't want to say sprinkle with flour cause it changes the recipe. I did that and it was really still quite sticky. I only did one sheet of cutouts because of this and made ginger snaps like the instructions suggest for the rest. That said this is a recipe that makes crunchy cookies, not soft. I feel that would be a nice thing to indicate on the packaging. Also, I feel like a packaged mix for this is a bit silly and mixing the dough is not the hard part of making gingerbread cookies (aside from obtaining the ingredients). These cookies are light in the ginger flavor, which is fine by me. However I prefer a softer gingerbread so will stick to my own recipe if I am going to bother making these. The main bonus of making these was playing with some cutters I hadn't gotten a chance to use yet.

With only a few minutes, the smell of gingerbread wafted around the kitchen and it was heavenly. I would love to show a finished result, but they disappeared within a matter of minutes. So good!!

Stir in 1 egg, ¼ cup water, ½ stick butter, chill 15 mins, roll, cut nice Christmas shapes, bake 8 mins. Slap on icing with happy faces and zigzag lines. They’re really delicious, the golden texture with a burst of ginger, had lots of fun making them!
