Not great for making shapes
I tried literally every trick in the book and this dough was just too sticky to make cutout shapes! I chilled it for up to 30 minutes and added a dusting of flour to the counter and still just a mess. Kind of annoyed after all of that but i made them into ginger snap type cookies and atleast those tasted good.

Delicious! It calls for softened butter not melted. I have made it with both softened and melted; it is much tastier if you melt the butter and slightly undercook them! The softened butter made them come out very airy and dry, that’s not my type of cookie, the melted butter makes them soft and chewy- yum!

Hard to mix, very dry dough , does not hold together. I made the cut out sugar cookies. The taste of the cookies is bad. This is a first cookie I have met that I did not like l. I tried the sugar cookie dough as I like the ginger bread cookie.

Gingerbread and Gingersnaps
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Betty Crocker Gingerbread Cookie Mix came in an easy to tear open bag. It contained a pre-made mix. I just needed to add in softened butter, water, and an egg. The cookie mix smelt just like gingerbread right away. I did like that there was the baking tip if you wanted to make gingersnaps instead. I found that we could make the gingerbread cookies, and then, with the remaining dough, we decided to try out the gingersnaps. We were able to get a handful of gingersnaps, which was a nice way to try 2 recipes with 1 batch of cookies. My son will be decorating these tomorrow as we cook our Thanksgiving meal. Overall, these were easy to make, and the entire mixing process was kid friendly.
