I was looking for a small counter-height table to use as a message center - laptop desk to use in my kitchen. Though this table is 1-2" shorter than actual "counter" height, it still serves its purpose very well for me and does not take up a lot of room. It would be nice if the drawers had stops on them - because if you push them in too far, they fall out in the middle - and drawer glides would have been a nice feature as well. I love this table! It's the perfect size for our space and I love the slightly distressed look. It doesn't look all beat up or anything, just looks more natural than other tables and won't show scratches or dents as much. I like the oblong look of this table - we could actually seat 6 if we had smaller stools on the longer sides. My only complain on this table is that the leggs aren't a solid block of wood like the previous pub table we had. However, they're shape keeps them sturdy so it still has a very solid feel. The only assembly was putting the legs on, which was simple and only took a couple minutes. see less

Spending a few extra dollars was worth it. Easy to assemble. Sturdy. Rustic looking. Wood is much heartier than you'd guess. It is in my pool house and serves as place to offer buffets and place to eat. Love it! see less
