My husband and I have a new home and want to furnish it with great looking items from furniture to games. The grand kids have a closet for the cardboard boxed games but we wanted something to display in the bookshelf and these boxed games were just what we were looking for!! I love the wooden houses and hotels and the tokens are real nice. It all fits great in the box and would make a great gift also. This is our first volume for our game library but we will be getting the rest!!

Same great monopoly game in a convenit and classy looking box you can keep nicely on a bookshelf. You pay a little extra for this version, but the box will not breakdown like cardboard will.

I would assume this product is great. I actually purchased this item for a close friend's wedding. I went to the store and checked it out prior to ordering, and was very pleased with what I saw in the packaging. Monopoly is a trusted, valued, and cherished game that has always had a reputable reputation. Hasbro has done a great job standing the test of time with this game, with copious amounts of variation (Virginia Techopoly is one of my favorites), not to mention partnering with McDonald's ev ery year. Pairing it with the success of the Hasbro brand, the game itself, and the interest and nostalgia that it sparks, I felt as if this game was the perfect gift for my friend; and she loved it! Job well done, Target. Thanks for always providing exactly what I need and keep me coming back to your stores on a weekly basis.

Monopoly is a time honored game. This will be a came that is past down for generation. Because if it storage case and durability. Everyone should have a set.

This was the first Vintage Book Game that I have gotten and I LOVE it!!! It fits perfectly on a book shelf and it's still the classic monopoly. There isn't a spot for the bank but it's not a biggie. The new design isn't perfectly "book-like" but it still gets the job done. I see no reason in giving it a one start rating just because they changed the look of the box.

This book game is perfect for our gameroom! It is the original board (not very colorful) game. An american classic. The only negative aspect of this game is the fact that there is not a spot in the box to set up "the bank". But other than that I have no complaints. I love how the game looks when we are not using it as well- goes great with adult decor and the story behind the inventor is a nice touch. I intend to collect all the other versions of the Vintage Games.

I've already owned a monopoly deluxe edition when I bought this but was looking for a smaller and less colorful box. This box is about half the size of my monopoly deluxe, it is well made and looks great on a book shelf. The vintage metal play pieces are very detailed and nice. The properties and chance cards are standard size, but in a vintage font (old type writer kind). Money is a little smaller than in other sets but it's understandable since the included plastic organizer is smaller. The b oard itself feels very cheap. The fonts look distressed: letters are not crisp and colors are a little off.
