What is the difference between a Target eGiftCard and Mobile Target GiftCard?

A Mobile Target GiftCard is a gift card sent to a mobile phone number. To purchase, just select an amount and the Mobile Target GiftCard will be sent via a text message to the recipient usually within 4 hours, or if you choose, you can schedule delivery for up to three months in advance. The mobile device needs to be web enabled as the gift card is accessible by a link. Customized messaging is not available. Message and data rates may apply.

A Target eGiftCard is an electronic gift card sent to an email address. To purchase, just select an amount, include a custom message and your Target eGiftCard will be emailed to the recipient usually within 4 hours, or if you choose, you can schedule delivery for up to three months in advance. Target eGiftCards include a bar code that can be scanned in store and can also be used on Target.com.

Two emails will be sent. One email, usually arriving within minutes, will be the order confirmation. The second email could be delivered within minutes, but can take 4-24 hours, or the scheduled delivery date up to three months in advance.
