About this item

Description

No More Color is widely accepted the the epitome of perfect melodic technical thrash - - from the reunited Swiss trio. Imagine if Rush was heavier and more brutal, yet still painted glorious, swirling melodies, both guitar and bass. It's akin to a churning maelstrom of subtle, rich brutality; the kind of thing you'd listen to in a stage coach headed to a certain Count's castle in the Carpathian Mountains. Cheese grater sharp riffs slicing up and down your back for days, flowing bass lines that at times accentuate both the guitars AND drums, rasped out snarling vocals as opposed to the cookie monster, blink and you'll lose your place in the lyric sheet rumbled roaring that was so popular in the latter half of the eighties and still reigns today. Lyrics are intelligent; the closing song "T.V. Bizarre: Last Entertainment" even managed to foresee and rag on the senseless wave of reality television that now rules the airwaves. Other incredible tunes are opener "Die By My Hand," "Why It Hurts" and the incomparable, "Read My Scars." And, it's all encased inside a scant but perfect album length - just under 34 minutes. The 2022 Brutal Planet Records remaster comes on a Gold Disc for the first time ever, is packaged in a jewel case, and each CD includes a free Gold-Foil stamped collector card (first pressing only)!
