Jackie Ryan - Passion Flower (CD)

Fresh back from her third year at Europe's premier jazz club (Ronnie Scott's in London), the gifted jazz vocalist Jackie Ryan adds to her international appeal with the release of her debut studio recording for OpenArt. Discerning listeners will notice not only the extraordinary vocal range of this artist, but also her remarkable (and authentic) treatment of her three Latin selections, notably Historia de Un Amor, reflecting her Latin heritage. From bebop to the blues, swing to delicate ballads, vocalese to Brazilian jazz, this CD reflects all that jazz singing means today.
