The feeder hangs securely from four 17-inch chains and an aluminum S-hook, giving you an easy way to hang it from a tree, shepherd's hook, or other suitable mounting location. The large seed tray holds approximately 8 cups of loose bird seed and has been tested to support up to 35 pounds, so you can spend less time refilling and more time watching the birds. Drainage holes in the bottom of the tray allow rain and moisture to escape, helping keep your bird seed drier and reducing the chance of spoilage. When it's time for a thorough cleaning, simply remove the seed tray and rinse it out.
