Logitech Alto Keys K98M Wireless Mechanical Keyboard, for PC, Mac, Laptops - Black

The keys are not mapped properly, even when shifting between the modes. The right alt/fn/ctrl keys never report correctly. Also, only the top row of the ctrl/start/alt/alt/fn/ctrl keys light up. When switching to Mac compatibility, the lower row of keys never light up.

Great keyboard honestly but i do not like that the F keys are printed and not backlit. As someone who works in a dimlit office it is not ideal!

I am very happy and impressed with my new keyboard. Since I was ordering online and had never seen this on in action, I was apprehensive, however, I am glad I purchased it. The keys are great and quite and I have had several co-workers ask about it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m the keyboard is great but I’m used to an ergonomic keyboard, actually the Logi ERGO K860. It would be great if Logi created a version of this ergo keyboard but as a mechanical keyboard. I am also limited in my use with the Alto Keys keyboard at my job computer because it requires the install of Logi Options plus for shortcut keys and I can’t install things into my work computer so I can only connect the keyboard with Bluetooth. So I find that I’ve went back to my ergo keyboard for comfortably at work but I guess if I need the sensory feel of the keys with the Alto Keys, I can just switch to it on my personal computer. Overall, it’s a nice keyboard but Logi, please create an ergonomic mechanical keyboard! :)

Love the tactile feel, but expected bigger spacing

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The keyboard is heavy and feels durable; you can feel the quality when you hold it. I also love the look and the sound it makes. In terms of performance, I've had some issues with the usb receiver that disconnected the keyboard to my computer at times. However, I've encountered no issues with the bluetooth connectivity.

Really like the feel of this unit. Easy setup and straight forward installment. I even like the sound.

The K98M keyboard has buttery smooth keys that are light and effortless to press, making typing comfortable for long sessions. The spacebar isn't quite as refined as the rest of the keys, but it's a minor issue that you hardly notice during everyday use. Another standout feature is the sound—it isn't overly loud, but it still has a satisfying, pleasant typing tone that makes the keyboard enjoyable to use.

A keyboard that is quality AND FUN! It is very easy to switch out the keys, and even better, not break them like other keyboards are usually engineered underneath. Just pull up and swap in your THEMED keys quickly. I did this to the keyboard of my Soccor wife fan/Nat'l coach during the World Cup...she loved it!!! Now, it's like this visual love letter, that reminds her of me everytime she sees it. ;)

The K98 is the perfect old-school mechanical, wireless keyboard for someone wanting to save a bit of desk space without reverting to just the qwerty side. Keystrokes are satisfying and consistent across the whole board. There's a bit more wiggle than a classic electronic typewriter, but on par with classic computer keyboards from Apple and IBM.

My primary use for this keyboard is gaming. That's why I selected a more expensive "mechanical keyboard" instead of a "slim keyboard". This wireless keyboard exceeds all my expectations. I'm quite happy with it.

It takes me quite some time as part of the learning curve to get used with newly designed keyboard layout (e.g. relocation of additional function keys such as Home and End), as well as reduced size zero key for numpad. It would be great if Logitech could develop a model (maybe keyboard and mouse combo) with the following features: - Hot swappable switch feature like the K98M/K98S - Key layout (as well as additional function key availability) of Lenovo Enhanced Performance Wireless Keyboard and Optical Mouse - keyboard , mouse, P/N: 73P4067 - Fingerprint functionality like Adesso WKB-1400FB (wireless keyboard with fingerprint reader) - Programmable RGB lighting and keycap material like G915/G915X - MX Master 4s Mouse with optional switches like keyboards (e.g. clicky and quiet) - 6 month battery life with USB-C charging under heavy use for both mouse and keyboard

I bought the keyboard because it can connect wirelessly to multiple devices. The keyboard is workable for normal typing, but it falls short in some ways. 1) It has an unconventional layout on the right hand side, and it takes time to locate the "delete" key and type it, which is inconvenient. It is also not convenient to locate and input keys such as "home", "end", "page up" and "page down" because they are further away from my fingers. I would prefer a conventional layout for the right-hand side of the keyboard. 2) The customizable keys have fixed texts printed on them, which are "home", "end" page up" and "page down". Even after I customize them, their appearance on the keyboard does not change, which makes it hard to tell or remember how I customized them. This makes the customizable keys less easy to use. 3) The "function" toggle key is not available on the left-hand side of the keyboard. Having it on the left-hand side makes it much easier to toggle between the primary and secondary functions of the keyboard. 4) It is hard to tell whether the number key lock for the keys on the right-hand side is active. Although the computer screen would temporarily show whether the lock is on or off when the key is pressed, it can block the screen and visually get in the way when typing (such as when typing on WhatsApp where the texts are entered near the bottom of the screen). 5) The keys are very loud when typing. Even people who I am calling on the phone can hear the sound of me typing, which can be distracting or invite questions when I take notes using my keyboard. Overall, the keyboard is fair but leaves much to be desired.

WOW. What a keyboard. So satisfying to type on. The special keys that you can program are also a nice touch. The feel of typing is enough of a reason to buy and then the sound the keys make??? Perfection!

Too Dark and too clumsy. Keys are different and unhandy.
