Mount gay eclipse rum from Barbados is quite tasty both to sip on it's own and mix into coctails. This one is sweet and tropical with pineapple juice, lime juice, grenadine, banana rum and mt. Gay eclipse rum! Chefs 💋

I drink it with pineapple juice. It’s affordable and offering good value for its price and nice packaging. its approachable flavor profile with notes of caramel, vanilla, and tropical fruit, making it suitable for sipping neat, on the rocks, or for use in cocktails.

Goes down smooth without the after bite of some other rums. The possibilities are endless. Very versatile. I used grenadine, pineapple mango juice, orange juice and club soda. Amazing!

It’s very versatile as I can drink it plan or add a bit of chocolate flavor to my mix. The packaging is really nice to show the nice brown color. I love the smell as it not too strong along with the taste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a smooth and versatile mixing rum with vanilla and fruit notes, I personally find its flavor profile too light or "thin" for sipping. It is Mount Gay's standard, entry-level offering I would say. It adds a standard "rummyness" to drinks without being overpowering. It has lots of vanilla, banana, caramel, and other tropical, it as having a "very bourbon-like" vanilla and toffee aroma. Like I said though it is not complex enough to be enjoyed neat, especially when compared to more robust, premium options like Mount Gay's XO or Black Barrel rums. It’s honestly kind of “boring” to sip on. If you find the Black Barrel expression to be a bit too spicy, while the Heritage Blend is much milder. The Black Barrel is aged longer, which ends up giving it a more complex flavor than this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good light rum. It can be sipped but I prefer it mixed. I found the notes to be quite pleasant. Light caramels and vanilla flavor. It isn’t over powering but quite balanced and would be good for tiki drinks and cocktails. As a sipper it does have a burn but that is to be expected given the low price point. It does punch above its weight! Note: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

It smells great as a floater and is a good deal for the cost. I tried it in its own and also with grapefruit and pineapple, with some nutmeg on top.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The smell of the rum alone invokes scents of vanilla, oak and molasses with just a hint of pepper, cinnamon and other spices as well, The taste of the rum itself is bold, but not overpowering and bears notes that match the smell, namely vanilla,oak, pepper and molasses. This rum can be drank straight and would pair well on the rocks. It can be used in a mixer for rum based cocktails and would work nice in a hurricane or sweet & and sour. The flavor did not mix well with Cola or other soft drinks and juices, however, so whatever you mix in will be better if it is non carbonated, in my opinion. Overall, it was a delicious and relaxing drink to wind down after a long day.
