Mount Gay Eclipse Rum - 1.75L Bottle

It has a minimal aftertaste that goes away when you chase with water. If you prefer to drink this straight please add ice and you will enjoy it even more

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a frequent cocktail maker, I was excited to try out this brand of rum. I created a rum harvest drink that’s perfect for fall. This rum was the perfect companion for the drink. When making a cocktail you want to taste the alcohol but you don’t want it to overpower the entire drink. This rum was perfect in that aspect, You could taste the flavors in it, but it didn’t overpower the drink itself. This rum itself is incredibly versatile and could be the perfect base for a variety of cocktails.

The Mount Gay Eclipse Heritage Blend rum gently punches flavors of banana, chocolate and vanilla. Will definitely be drinking on the rocks and in a toddy when it gets chilly. YUM

The well balanced rum paired nicely with a spicy fresh apple cider, a touch of cream & dash of cinnamon and agave. The rum is delicious on its own but I prefer it in a mixed drink where the flavor can still shine ✨🍹

This Bee Stings 2 parts Guava juice 1 part part Mount Gay Barbados Rum 1703 3 dashes Peychaud's Aromatic Bitters 1/2 tbsp Habanero-infused honey Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled glass. The Base: The rich, refined warmth of Mount Gay Barbados Rum 1703 provides a deeply satisfying for anchors the drink without overpowering the brighter notes. The Fruit: Fresh guava juice brings an exotic, tropical flavor for summer. The Kick: The habanero-infused honey combined with Peychaud's aromatic bitters adds complexity. It is a little bit on the harsh side, but blended with a little bit of Diet Coke and a couple of ice and it is perfect. It is not the most complex drink, but hits the spot and gives you a nice buzz. Only negative side is that it does not really go well with any garnish which I prefer sometimes. 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried drinking it on the rocks but it was a little strong for me. I mixed it with cherry Pepsi and some ice and it tasted very good. I tasted caramel and other spices. It was very good on a cool night with a fire going to stay warm.

I then mixed it with coke and rum that did give it a better flavor. The rum did have a crisp taste to it. The value was great for the price and I loved the description of eclipse heritage on the bottle. The packaging was very eye catching.

I have used it in mixers for party also as straight shot chilled and also used it in cooking delicious cake rum cake and both options were just perfect results! I enjoyed it very much Proce is very reasonable, aroma is delicious and there is no artificial aftertaste at all!
