No Love Lost - Killer Show (CD)

No Love Lost is back with Killer Show, an 11-song blast of melodic hard rock that finds the North Carolina rockers sounding bigger, heavier, and more confident than ever. The band's fourth release for Kivel Records, Killer Show builds naturally on the foundation established by Last Call. The huge melodies, arena-rock hooks, powerful vocals, and guitar-driven sound fans expect from No Love Lost are all here, but this time the band pushes the music a little further. There's an added weight and edge to the guitars, a stronger sense of dynamics, and a willingness to explore a heavier side of the band's sound without sacrificing the melodic character that has defined No Love Lost from the beginning. The result is an album that feels both immediately familiar and genuinely fresh. Killer Show doesn't abandon what No Love Lost does best-it expands it. From the driving energy of "Hard Mover" and the melodic punch of "Love Dies Hard" to the title track, "Shadow Play," "Smokescreen," and the closing "Coming Home," the album is packed with memorable hooks and confident hard-rock songwriting.Vocalist Scott Board delivers the songs with power and personality, while guitarist and producer Marc Brown supplies the riffs, melodies, and polished production that give the album it's muscular sound. Bassist Matt Crow and drummer Jason Collins complete a lineup that sounds tight, energetic, and built for the stage. For longtime No Love Lost fans, Killer Show is the next logical chapter. For anyone who loves melodic hard rock with big guitars, huge hooks, strong vocals, and an arena-sized attitude, this one deserves to be heard.
