Did not work on my SNES

Sadly, this did not work with my Super Nintendo (American version from 1993). Whenever I plug it in, the game acts like random buttons are rapidly being pressed, so it's unusable. Very disappointing since I have seen a ton of positive reviews online and the price is definitely right. But buyer beware, it apparently doesn't actually work with every SNES.
