About the Book

The inner hell of women: that ceaseless ebb and flow of thoughts, impulses, emotions, and ideas that we hide -- that we learned to repress, to silence, to prevent from manifesting clearly in the world -- because we do not want to be branded as crazy, problematic, dark, or intense. The book's *main* secondary character -- if you will pardon the redundancy -- is this stifling, explosive inner world: at times ungovernable, a squatter in our own heads, with which we have learned to walk through life without letting it show too much.

About the Author

Sofía Balbuena nació en Salto, Argentina en 1984. Es escritora y trabaja como profesora de escritura creativa. Es autora de los libros de ensayo Doce pasos hacia mí, Borracha menor y Gente sin paz (con Sabina Urraca y Daniel Saldaña Paris) y la novela Sutura. Es licenciada en Ciencia Política (UBA), Máster en Creación Literaria (UPF), Máster en Literatura Comparada (UAB) y MFA en Escritura Creativa de la Universidad de Iowa, para lo cual recibió la Iowa Arts Fellowship. Vive en Madrid.
