Book Synopsis

"This is a superb book--beautifully written, engaging, and punchy. It tells Bob Livingston's own great American story, gives an inside view of historical events, and provides a trenchant analysis of two phenomenon that are corrupting our justice system--Lawfare and the thuggish behavior of a certain prosecutors fixated on headhunting rather than justice."--WILLIAM P. BARR, former Attorney General

FORMER CONGRESSMAN BOB LIVINGSTON HAS A WARNING FOR ALL AMERICANS

LAWFARE IS A WEAPON THAT IS DESTROYING THE UNITED STATES AND RUINING PEOPLE'S LIVES

THE POLITICIZATION OF THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM MUST END NOW

Lawfare has been with us since the inception of the country. Both Democrat and Republican prosecutors and investigating agents have misused their authority to pursue otherwise innocent victims over time. But with the arrival of Hillary Clinton at the White House, the practice was refined in tandem with her efforts to pursue all those who offered public criticism about her husband and the Clinton Administration. She was and is as corrupt as anyone in American politics. Her "war rooms" in the White House, the Senate, and at the State Department sowed the seeds for ongoing corruption within the Department of Justice.

Former Attorney General Merrick Garland, once denied a seat on the Supreme Court, adopted the practice of incredible abuse of the American judicial system with relish to accommodate the horribly corrupt Biden presidency and the Democrat agenda. AG Garland was unrestrained in his persecution of innocent Americans, be they protestors at school board meetings, religious and right to life advocates, non-violent January 6'ers, current and former Republican Members of Congress, and last but certainly not least, the past and current President of the United States.

In THE RAINBOW CHASER, former Congressman Bob Livingston lays-out the abuses of power and the weaponization the judicial system that almost destroyed him, his company and staff, his family, and many more innocents, and offers solutions to this national disgrace, including pushing Congress to waive all immunity from prosecutors or investigators who without probable cause target and persecute individuals for personal or political reasons. And once provided full due process, such persons should be held accountable civilly or criminally for misusing their awesome power of state over an individual.

Livingston's much praised first book, The Windmill Chaser, is a gripping and inspirational memoir recounting his life and work through his days in Congress and work with the Robert Livingston Group. And THE RAINBOW CHASER serves as its worthy sequel, and an indictment of corrupt political warfare being waged on the innocent, and rejection of abuses by specific individuals in the Democrat Party who transgress the American Constitution for political and personal ends.

As a former prosecutor and assistant U.S. Attorney at the DOJ in New Orleans - who worked with the FBI--Livingston is the right person to wage a war of righteous integrity on abuses of the judicial system and bring those guilty of breaking the law for personal gain to justice.

Review Quotes

Praise for THE RAINBOW CHASER: THE MAN WHO GAMBLED FOR SUCCESS AND BROKE EVEN by Robert Livingston

"This is a superb book--beautifully written, engaging, and punchy. It tells Bob Livingston's own great American story, gives an inside view of historical events, and provides a trenchant analysis of two phenomenon that are corrupting our justice system--Lawfare and the thuggish behavior of a certain prosecutors fixated on headhunting rather than justice--problems that Livington experienced first-hand and must be overcome if we are to preserve our treasured ideal of 'blind' justice."

--WILLIAM P. BARR, former Attorney General and author of #1 New York Times bestseller One Damn Thing After Another

"Taken at face value, Bob Livingston's THE RAINBOW CHASER is a compelling memoir of the life and career of one of the most influential figures in Washington over the last several decades. But what makes it absolutely essential reading is that Livingston tells a cautionary--and riveting--tale about how even when you sincerely try to do everything by the book, your political enemies have endless ways of twisting our corrupt legal system to come after you, and they do this not with the goal of honest disagreement, but to ruin your life as a warning others. THE RAINBOW CHASER tells us what's at stake if we do not rein in America's out-of-control lawfare."

--MOLLIE HEMINGWAY, editor in chief of The Federalist, senior journalism fellow at Hillsdale College, and bestselling author of Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections

"Bob Livingston has authored a harrowing account of the immense cost borne by victims of the Left's vicious political warfare tactics. This story is a cautionary tale about the outrageous lengths to which extremists will go in abusing the full power of the government and the judicial system to hunt down and persecute their political opponents--told by someone who knows from firsthand experience."

--DEVIN NUNES, Chairman and CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group and former Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence

"Most memoirs are typically either a big yawn or self-conceited narcissism wrapped in embellishment. This one is neither. Bob Livingston is a good man, a giant among legislators, especially balanced appropriators, and a person to look up to. This story of begats and political pilgrimage weaves a tale of a life well-lived, of a patriot who loves and served his country, and as a gentleman with a good heart, sense of humility, social graces, and honest devotion to freedom and the rule of law. The Rainbow Chaser is a worthwhile read as an insider account to political power in Washington, DC and the rise to such prominence. It is a Mr. Livingston Goes to Washington story about a person who tried to do well, while doing good. On that face alone it is most instructive--as both a warning and as a model to emulate. It is however the second half of this tome that makes the book eye-catching, vibrant, and dead-on target. Those the chapters are all about political lawfare, in a detailed, grainy and unswervingly truthful fashion. The treatment is therefore a valuable and informed expose of the Deep State. This memoir is foremost a cry against a rogue DOJ."

--THEODORE ROOSEVELT MALLOCH, scholar-diplomat-strategist, and a professor at Yale and Oxford

Praise for The Windmill Chaser: Triumphs and Less in American Politics by Robert Livingston

"Bob Livingston has written a remarkably candid and courageous memoir. Virtually anyone could learn from this intriguing and very eclectic book. It is part biography, part New Orleans tales (a city always worth writing about), part political memoir, part public policy analysis and always personal and candid."

--NEWT GINGRICH, former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and New York Times bestselling author

"Bob Livingston is a true fiscal hero at a time we don't have many of those left in Washington. He and Newt Gingrich were the action team in the House of Representatives that gave America it's only balanced budgets in the last 50 years. They did it by slamming the brakes on wasteful spending and growing the economy. Where is that leadership today?"

--STEVE MOORE, Distinguished Visiting Fellow, Project for Economic Growth at The Heritage Foundation

"Bob Livingston is one of the smartest, most interesting people to serve in Congress in my lifetime. He's had an amazing life, and accrued a massive store of wisdom over the course of it. It's all in here, and well worth reading."

--TUCKER CARLSON, host of The Tucker Carlson Show and New York Times bestselling author

"Bob Livingston takes us through his remarkable life story, through victories, defeats, great accomplishments, and tragedies with candor, humility and more than a dose of humor. Bob's rise from junior member of the minority to the highest levels of the U.S. House of Representatives and meetings in the Oval Office exemplifies how Congress can and should work. Above all, it's a fun read!"

--CHARLIE COOK, Editor and Publisher of The Cook Political Report
