Twosyllable Records was founded in the New York City apartment of good friends Zach Pollakoff and Brian Kerr in 2008. Throughout it's 10+ year existence, Twosyllable has released music (including vinyl, CD's, cassettes, 7"s and flexidiscs) from a wide array of artists from all over the US and the world. Non-believers in the constraints of genre, you'll find in their catalog everything from the nature-inspired dreamgaze of critical darlings Candy Claws to the truly visionary work of Melbourne-based pop artist Sui Zhen. There are household names like Angel Olsen and Noname (f/k/a Noname Gypsy) in the TSR canon, as well as bedroom cult heroes like That Ghost, Holiday Shores and Old Smile. Exciting new voices of Twosyllable artists like Will Fox, ROOS and Touch are continuing the proud tradition of cockeyed, thoughtful pop in the era of playlist mediocrity.
