A projection alarm clock uses an adjustable projector (often on an arm or swivel) to shine the time onto a wall or ceiling in a visible color. Many models let you switch between viewing the built-in display and the projected image, and you can usually aim the projector to suit your room layout.
Many alarm clocks use LED displays and offer adjustable brightness—commonly two or four preset levels—and some include a night or auto-dim mode to reduce glare at bedtime.
Many bedside clocks add built-in speakers with FM radio, CD/MP3 playback or Bluetooth streaming. Some also include sound‑machine options—such as multiple ambient sounds or white‑noise variants—to help with falling asleep.
