Magnetic clocks typically use AAA batteries (one or two). Some models also include wireless Qi charging and one or more USB ports for charging other devices.

They commonly feature digital or LED displays and built-in stopwatch and countdown timers. Some models let you choose timer alerts (beep or LED) and offer dimmer controls for the display.

Most magnetic clocks attach to metal surfaces using a magnet on the back; some also include a strap hole for hanging. Classroom demonstration clocks are explicitly designed to mount on whiteboards or filing cabinets.

Magnetic clocks are commonly made of plastic; some classroom demonstration models combine plastic with metal components.

Alarm features include alarm clock functions with dual alarms, adjustable high/low alarm volume, and a snooze function. Some timers also offer selectable alert types (beep or LED).
