Some listings explicitly show UL listing, while others note no listed industry or government certification. A few items also state limited warranty periods.

Several sets include hanging strings or mounting clips for installation. Some curtain-style lights also include clips for attaching photos or lightweight items.

Controls vary. Many sets include an on/off switch and a built-in timer (one listing notes a 6 hours on / 18 hours off timer). Others include remote controls and multi-mode buttons, with some offering 8 to 16 modes.
