How do I verify my status?<s></s>
Target app
- Go to My Target.
- Select Settings (wheel icon).
- Under Discount verification, select Student.
- Enter your information and submit the verification form.
Target.com
- Sign in to your account.
- Select Manage account, then Settings.
- In the Discount verification section, select Verify status.
- In the Student section, select Verify status.
- Enter your information and submit the verification form.
Who is eligible for Target’s student discount?
Target Circle™ members currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university.
What documentation is accepted?
Submit a school-issued document that includes:
- School name.
- First and last name, as shown on school records.
- Date showing current enrollment.
Accepted documents:
- School ID card with an expiration date.
- Class schedule.
- Tuition receipt.
Why wasn’t I verified right away?
Verification may not be successful if the information submitted does not match your school records. Review your information and ensure it matches your official documentation.
Common issues
- Name entered does not match school records
- Example: Jamie appears on school records, but Jay is entered on the verification form.
- Typographical errors
- Example: Incorrect birth year entered.
How will my personal information be used?
- Information submitted for verification is used for Target Circle benefits and in accordance with Target’s privacy policy.
- Target partners with SheerID to verify student eligibility. SheerID does not rent or sell your information.
Why haven’t I received my discount?
The Target Circle Bonus appears only during active promotions.
- Allow up to 1 hour after successful verification for your Target Circle Bonus to appear.
- If your bonus doesn’t appear, confirm that your student verification was successful.
