What products are eligible for a Allstate Protection Plan?

Most consumer electronics are eligible for a Allstate Protection Plan. Covered products include mobile phones, televisions, projectors, wearable devices, MP3 players, video game consoles, clock radios, small appliances, boom boxes, cameras, camcorders, laptops/tablets, computers and peripherals. Additional covered products include select baby products, bikes, and furniture. Note: Covered products do not include pre-owned electronics.

What is covered under Allstate Protection Plans?

Allstate Protection Plans also offer the following benefits for eligible products:

Parts and labor coverage to repair or replace your item during the term of the plan.
No Lemon Policy: If your covered product has two (2) service repairs completed for the same problem and a third (3rd) repair is needed for the same problem, within any twelve (12) month period, the covered product will be replaced with a comparable product or a cash settlement will be provided in the form of a Target GiftCard or check. The cost of the replacement will not exceed the product’s original purchase price less taxes paid.
For eligible electronic products, Allstate Protection Plans protect against mechanical and electrical breakdowns, including issues due to normal wear and tear:
- Surge Protection: Covers your product from the date of purchase.
- Accidental Damage from Handling: Coverage for headphones, cameras, video cameras, MP3 Players, eReaders, laptops, tablets and netbooks, and select portable electronics only. This coverage protects you from failures from spills, drops and cracked screens.

Not all products eligible for the Allstate Protection Plan will receive all of the benefits listed above. Benefits available under the Allstate Protection Plan may differ based on the product type.

The term of the Allstate Protection Plan begins on the date it is purchased and is inclusive of the manufacturer's warranty. Except for enhanced coverage, all other coverage begins at the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty. The term of the plan continues for the period of 2 or 3 years, depending on the plan you purchased as indicated on your receipt.

Can I purchase a Allstate Protection Plan after I purchase my product?

When will I receive my Allstate Protection Plan information?

If you made your purchase online, you'll receive your Allstate Protection Plan confirmation via email within 30 minutes of your purchase.

If you made your purchase in-store, you'll receive your Allstate Protection Plan confirmation within 5 minutes of registering. However, registration is not required.

The email contains your terms and conditions, plan number and important phone and website information. Keep the brochure in a safe place as your receipt and this email may be required to file a claim.

Do I need to register or activate my Allstate Protection Plan?

How do I transfer a Allstate Protection Plan to someone else?

If you purchased a plan as a gift for someone, we recommend waiting until after you have gifted it to transfer the plan. As soon as you transfer it, an automated email will be sent to the receiver.

To transfer a plan to someone else:

Visit www.allstateprotectionplans.com/user/login to log into your account.
Select My Plans.
Select the protection plan you’d like to transfer.
Select Cancel/Transfer Plan from the Quick Links menu.
Enter the receiver’s name, address, phone number, and email address.
- A confirmation email will be sent to you and the receiver as soon as the plan is transferred.

If you’re trying to purchase a plan for a product you received as a gift, you can do so within 30 days of the purchase date. To purchase a plan, bring the original product receipt to Guest Services or visit Target.com.

Can I return a Allstate Protection Plan?

Allstate Protection Plans can be returned to the store within 30 or 90 days of purchase, depending on the item's return by date. If you purchased your plan online, you can return to the store or call Target Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869. You'll receive a full refund, less the cost of any service received.

For plans purchased more than 30 or 90 days ago, depending on the item, you can manage and cancel your plans by visiting www.allstateprotectionplans.com.
