A: Hi. It's 18 inches wide and 35.0 inches high overall (dimensions are under "About This Item"). The hook part of the hanger is about 3 inches tall. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by length of hook to bottom, but hopefully this will get you there!

This is the BEST hanging organizer.
I have one of these for Jewelry that I bought many (approx 15 years ago). Although I now store my jewelry differently, these are perfect for organizing my huge collection of buttons. This is the only hanging organizer that is sturdy enough to hold any kind of weight. I've had others (inherited from my mom) that immediately ripped and tore with any kind of use. These are well constructed...heavy canvas, heavy see thru plastic, strong snaps and the hanger is VERY sturdy. Was very happy to find these still available.

The perfect jewelry organizer
I've been struggling to find an organization system for my dozens of earrings, ring sets, body chains... Then I stumbled upon this organizer. It's a great, thick canvas that hangs in the center of my closet, and I didn't realize how nice it is to have my jewelry alongside my clothes, it makes me coordinate the two and I've been loving it! My only complaint is that due to the large amount of compartments, they're rather narrow and small, so necklaces/chunky bracelets don't fit here. But if you've got rings/earrings/ dainty jewelry, I think you'll love this.

Bought this organizer for my daughter to use in her dorm room. With limited space, it was a great way to avoid a bulky jewelry box. All her jewelry is visible though the clear pockets while taking up minimal space. Only drawback was if you wanted to keep a box in the pocket that a piece of jewelry came in. As this is double sided, we used one side for hair accessories. Would definitely buy this again for my other daughter when she goes to college!

Great organizer
This was to replace one I bought about 4 years ago from another company. It started falling apart. This one is great! Made of heavy duty canvas & has 80 pockets (40 on each side)& holds lots of earrings & bracelets. Iit will last a long time. I would definetly recommend.

I love this! It is perfect for all my stuff and I love the different size pockets, that's great! I read some reviews about the swivel hanger, but I have mine hanging in my closet so that would not work for me. It is very durable and made very well which was a great surprise. I would recommend this.

Excellent Organizer!
My husband and I travel abroad and I like to pick up funky jewelry along the way. I have so many pairs of earrings that were just sitting in bags, jewelry boxes and on my dresser. I felt I was always wearing the same pairs of earrings as I couldn't see all of my options. This jewelry organizer was exactly what I needed! The hanger is very sturdy. The 64 smaller pockets are great for storing earrings, pins, charms, and bracelets. There are 16 larger pockets that fit necklaces, bracelets, and very large dangly earrings. At first, I hung this 3 foot long organizer in my closet. Then I decided that I like looking at my jewelry so I hung it on a hook on the back of our bedroom door. Overall, this organizer seems very sturdy and practical. Also a great space saver and my jewelry no longer gets tangled as everything has its own spot!

This is a terrific bag with lots of pockets. I wish the hook had a swivel so it would be easy to turn it over to each side when I'm trying to find something. Still, it is very compact and a great organizer.

LOVE - even with minimal close space
I use to have jewelry boxes, show boxes, earring holders, etc. It was a mess and I never knew were things were. This is a great solution! I was able to transfer EVERYTHING into this organizer the small pockets are big enough that all of my earrings fit. So when you buy Claire's earrings and there are 5 pairs of earrings, all in a similar style or something I can put them all in one little pocket! I use one side for nicer jewelry, and the other side holds the things I still have but don't wear on a regular basis. This way I have easy access to my current favorites, but don't have to keep a bunch of other jewelry stored anywhere else. The canvas back is nice enough I just leave it out on a hook. My nicer jewelry is displayed, while other items are stored on the back. The Hanger is HUGE, not too big, but large enough you can pack this baby full and not have to worry about it. The hanger is larger than one of those white plastic hangers everyone seems to have.

just what i needed
I have a lot of costume jewelry-long necklaces and bracelets, and had nowhere to store them. they usually ended up laying on the dresser in a tangled mess. This organizer is great, one item in each pocket, and for smaller necklaces and earrings, i left the earrings on their own card and slipped them in the pocket with their matching piece. I do agree with the other review that it would be nice if some of the pockets stretched a bit to accommodate a cuff bracelet. Otherwise this is perfect. It hangs thinly in my closet and I can see everything easily!
