Q: Is there a peg you have to push in before you can extend the legs? I see the metal pegs, but I can't push them in and pull on the legs at the same time. Does it take two people to extend the legs?

submitted by RetroProf - 8 years ago
  • A: Yes and it’s very hard to do by yourself

submitted bySarah - 3 months ago
  • A: Wear gloves so you don't hurt yourself. With table upside down, hold down frame with one foot, press very hard on two pegs. You will eventually make it work. The mechanism does not work smoothly. A cheap, poorly designed and poorly manufactured table that I do not recommend at any price.

    submitted byJoe30330 - 5 years ago
  • A: After the first use the “pegs” get pushed in never to be seen again. I end up sticking screws in the holes and taping them so they stay in. Worst table ever! I just use it once a year for garage sales.

submitted byKarkkey - 10 months ago
  • A: I do not agree. I did manage to do it as 1 person but it was near impossible. It also seems that you have to lower the legs every time to fold. I will be returning this table tomorrow.

submitted byBarb - 6 years ago
  • A: one person can do by pushing on the pin on one leg and extending then the other.

submitted byPDG Customer Service - 8 years ago

  • A: I agree with the fact that it is impossible to extend legs with one person. Even pressing 1 button while3 pulling is difficult. I rarely use this table in fact this is only the second time and my son and I were unable to extend the legs.

submitted byhbjill - 5 years ago
  • A: Ok folks. I am a "73" year old weakling and had it figured out before I even went to the store to buy. The leg extensions are a '1" person job. 1/ fold the legs out. 2/ push in "1" pin and pull gently until it clears the hole and goes partially into the leg. 3/ push the pin in on the other leg and pull. Bingo it comes right out into the next set of holes. If you want the legs to go into the furthest position just repeat all the steps. I had it "ALL" put together with the legs in the highest position in "2" MINUTES... Happy unfolding.........................

submitted byTarget One - 5 years ago
  • A: Aren't you just precious. The pins on mine will not go in unless they are pushed in simultaneously. I figured it out, but with the help of another person.

Q: How do you open? It does not have instructions

submitted by Janet - 4 months ago
  • A: To unfold, unlock one lock the force it open with all of your might. There are clips inside that are extremely difficult to release.

submitted byJJJ - 3 months ago
  • A: There are buttons on the side that you can push to have the legs release and fold back into the table. The following link is a You Tube video that shows how to unfold and fold your table. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8cbKZYb60A

Q: How do I fold the legs back in? The standard answer in here doesn’t help.

submitted by ST - 8 months ago
  • A: The angled bracing bar that holds the leg. Squeeze it towards the leg. So if you have the table upside down on the ground, sit behind the outside of the legs, facing the narrow way of the table. Grab one hand on each side so that you're holding the legs and that angled bracing bar and squeeze while slide your legs down.

submitted byResky - 7 months ago
  • A: First, adjust the legs to the smallest setting. Then, where the brace meets the legs, you will press the brace towards the legs, releasing the locking pin and then bend the legs toward the table. Here is a video I found that may help; https://youtu.be/bRIHgx194Bw?si=-Z4pX8YipUwXgE_g

  • A: there are two sliders on each side of the legs. push in the top and then you will be able to collapse the leg.

This table is crap. Wobbles side to side, legs don't lock properly, center fold locking tab isn't clearly marked and allows a lot of movement, leg extension and folding mechanisms are a hassle to use, table surface scratched and dented on first use when I put some pots on it. Target, you should be ashamed to carry such a crap product.

Not Very Sturdy

I bought this to put puzzles together on, so it's fine, just don't put any weight on it. Not a stable table by any stretch of the imagination. Legs are adjustable so I'm sure that's the cause.
1 reply from Peakform team - 9 days ago
To allow for height adjustment of the table, the leg design requires a very small amount of clearance between the tubes so that they will easily slide past each other. It is this small clearance that results in the slight wobble. Some side to side movement is normal and will generally be more noticeable the higher the table height. SMELLY

Took this out of the wrapping and went to set it iup, and it smells HORRIBLE. It's like a strong vinegar/plastic smell, luckily I have time to let it air out, but now my whole garage smells like it. Adjusting the legs alone is a bit of a silly maneuver, but doable, you just have to put it on its back to do it. It fits the space and wasn't damaged since I bought it in-store. As a heads up my target had this for about $10 more than what it is online. Not worth $50, but $40 is ok, just buy it ahead of time so it can air out.

good as desk

its been 3 years as my desk for gaming and school. my mom says to get a normal desk but this works just fine. and good for the price. thank you target for this foldable banquet table. I refuse to get a normal desk ;) I have moved with the desk and it takes a little bit ot gymnastics to extend legs on your own without second person. you have to grip the buttons with your toes and then ur hands to extend or shorten the legs. good luck everyone :]

It jams between the tallest and middle settings

I regret buying this The tables’ legs jam terribly in between the tallest and middle setting - it is a design flaw! I regularly set up a chair with a similar buttons in metal holes mechanism to the legs of this table. I was wrong to assume the other negative reviews were about the learning curve of using that kind of mechanism. I hurt myself from all of the extensive pulling struggling to get the legs unstuck in the area between the tallest and middle setting.

Flimsy folding small table

Not understanding how this item has received so many high reviews. Bought this unfortunately too early for the holidays and now it’s ineligible for a refund. When I went to use it and took it out of the packaging there was a crack not visible behind the packaging, I immediately realized it was not a good table/material. The setup can pinch your fingers. However I tried to use the table anyway and it was VERY flimsy and not durable after placing a few platters, etc. The legs are telescopic and not sturdy at all. The table top is heavier than the legs. Did not end up using it for my buffet table because I was worried the table was going to collapse. Ironically the name of the table company is “Peakform”! I own a bigger folding table I bought years ago fr Target and thought it was the same material and quality. I regret this purchase. Painful waste of $40+

Mostly E Z

I read the previous reviews. And I had no problem with adjusting the folding leg height. Just push the buttons on each leg b4 making higher or lower. The Only thing I had a problem with was opening the table from the closed position. Nothing on the flyer showed the legs snapped shut. It was hard to pull open. The other thing is the carrying handle should be out even while wrapped so u can easily carry out of the store
