Q: Is there a peg you have to push in before you can extend the legs? I see the metal pegs, but I can't push them in and pull on the legs at the same time. Does it take two people to extend the legs?

submitted by RetroProf - 8 years ago
  • A: Yes and it’s very hard to do by yourself

submitted bySarah - 9 months ago
  • A: Wear gloves so you don't hurt yourself. With table upside down, hold down frame with one foot, press very hard on two pegs. You will eventually make it work. The mechanism does not work smoothly. A cheap, poorly designed and poorly manufactured table that I do not recommend at any price.

    submitted byJoe30330 - 5 years ago
  • A: After the first use the “pegs” get pushed in never to be seen again. I end up sticking screws in the holes and taping them so they stay in. Worst table ever! I just use it once a year for garage sales.

submitted byKarkkey - 1 year ago
  • A: I do not agree. I did manage to do it as 1 person but it was near impossible. It also seems that you have to lower the legs every time to fold. I will be returning this table tomorrow.

submitted byBarb - 6 years ago
  • A: one person can do by pushing on the pin on one leg and extending then the other.

submitted byPDG Customer Service - 8 years ago

  • A: I agree with the fact that it is impossible to extend legs with one person. Even pressing 1 button while3 pulling is difficult. I rarely use this table in fact this is only the second time and my son and I were unable to extend the legs.

submitted byhbjill - 6 years ago
  • A: Aren't you just precious. The pins on mine will not go in unless they are pushed in simultaneously. I figured it out, but with the help of another person.

submitted byI must be an idiot - 3 years ago
  • A: Ok folks. I am a "73" year old weakling and had it figured out before I even went to the store to buy. The leg extensions are a '1" person job. 1/ fold the legs out. 2/ push in "1" pin and pull gently until it clears the hole and goes partially into the leg. 3/ push the pin in on the other leg and pull. Bingo it comes right out into the next set of holes. If you want the legs to go into the furthest position just repeat all the steps. I had it "ALL" put together with the legs in the highest position in "2" MINUTES... Happy unfolding.........................

submitted byTarget One - 6 years ago
  • A: I am putting that thing right back in the truck and taking it back to Target. It should not take two people to do this and I have already cut my hand trying to open it. Not Target's fault but a dreadful product.

Q: How do you open? It does not have instructions

submitted by Janet - 10 months ago
  • A: There are buttons on the side that you can push to have the legs release and fold back into the table. The following link is a You Tube video that shows how to unfold and fold your table. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8cbKZYb60A

submitted byPeakform - 9 months ago

  • A: To unfold, unlock one lock the force it open with all of your might. There are clips inside that are extremely difficult to release.

submitted byJJJ - 9 months ago

Q: How do I fold the legs back in? The standard answer in here doesn’t help.

submitted by ST - 1 year ago
  • A: The angled bracing bar that holds the leg. Squeeze it towards the leg. So if you have the table upside down on the ground, sit behind the outside of the legs, facing the narrow way of the table. Grab one hand on each side so that you're holding the legs and that angled bracing bar and squeeze while slide your legs down.

submitted byResky - 1 year ago
  • A: First, adjust the legs to the smallest setting. Then, where the brace meets the legs, you will press the brace towards the legs, releasing the locking pin and then bend the legs toward the table. Here is a video I found that may help; https://youtu.be/bRIHgx194Bw?si=-Z4pX8YipUwXgE_g

Q: How do you fold the legs back down?It is alreadycollapsed to its lowest height. Several people have asked this question and the answer given by the company is not helpful. The legs are stuck open.

  • A: there are two sliders on each side of the legs. push in the top and then you will be able to collapse the leg.

Very good

Very good quality table and stable with proper height but a little heavy with some difficulty to extend the legs. I was able to carry it by myself. If you have hand, wrist or shoulder problems, you will need some help to carry it.

1 reply from Peakform team - 1 month ago
Thanks for your feedback. To allow for height adjustment of the table, the leg design requires a very small amount of clearance between the tubes so that they will easily slide past each other. It is this small clearance that results in the slight wobble. Some side to side movement is normal and will generally be more noticeable the higher the table height. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us at pfreviews@peakformproducts.com. *DC

Unsafe!!

This table is extremely unstable because the legs are not designed to securely lock into place. The table repeatedly collapsed and fell while holding no more than approximately 10 pounds. Today it fell while nothing was even on it. During one of these incidents, the table broke, and the leg became stuck so the table could no longer be folded properly. I also contacted Target Customer Service about the issue and was told that a pickup would be arranged because the broken table could no longer be boxed to ship the item back. However, several weeks later, no one has contacted me about the pickup or provided any follow-up. I would not recommend this table. A folding table should have a secure mechanism to keep the legs locked in place while it is being used. The design of this table makes it extremely hazardous. It looks like several other people have had similar issues with this table recently.

Leg locking failure

Easy to set up, but legs were defective and didn’t lock into place so any pressure toward the ends caused it to fold up.

LEGS WON'T LOCK

The legs don't lock. The slider pieces don't snap onto the peg pieces so the table constantly collapses.

Not the best option

Very sturdy but legs are very hard to adjust to full height….need two people. And it sticks so it takes a really long time. Once it’s in place, table works well.

A table stands. This one falls.

A table only needs one feature: Stand. It does not do that. It collapses upon slight pressure because the "lock" for the folding mechanism is weak. If it fails at this one task, it can hardly be called a table.

This is a very heavy (albeit sturdy) tsble. In order to raise it, you must hold to metal buttons on either side at the same time. You need 2 people to accomplish this.
